Whose the best athlete in all profesional sports

bobby716

High End Bro
Platinum
Lebron James

the kid is mind boggling good, you never see him running his mouth or putting himself above everyone else, hes never caught up in drama. IMO the best all around athlete

you can't call any "sport specific" athlete best "all around athlete". What's lebrons 40? What's his 225 max? But if you go with a guy with a good combine score, than can he hit a fadeaway jumper at the buzzer from 30 feet...??

That's why I personally am starting to view top tier MMA fighters as perhaps the best all around athletes alive. What they have to incorporate athletically to be the best in their divisions is ridiculous. Strength, speed, timing, stamina......and last but certainly not least, ridiculous skill. You can say what you want about the pressure of performing in an NBA game when it comes down to the buzzer.....but Lebron isn't getting punched in the face while he's hitting that J.

Honestly, from what I"ve seen of Lesnar.....that dude might be the best athlete on the planet. Strength that most men only fantasize about, ridiculous size, redunkulous speed to go along with that size, and stamina like a welterweight. I guarantee you there are not a whole lot of 270 pound shredded athletes out there that have his gas. It's almost unheard of. Guys that size are supposed to tire out after the first round. It's just not fair.

Skillwise still remains to be seen, he hasn't been fully tested yet.

Herschel Walker in his prime

i would have to throw barry sanders, walter payton, oj, tony dorsett and probably earl campbell, eric dickerson and emmitt smith. . .and what the hell. . .bo jackson, into that argument as well (sticking with the running back "in his prime" theme)

butt Herschel had the best abs :)

The ultimate bar question... lol

I guess there are a few diff ways to look at this question. You have to consider the sport difficulty, the natural athletic ability of the athlete, and of course how that individual ranks among his fellow competitors as well as all the other athletes in sports...

I have to say the only one that comes to mind is Michael Phelps. Yea, i know im gonna get flammed bc hes a swimmer and a few of you believe its not a "sport" But consider this, he did something no human has EVER done. won 8 gold medals! I mean All records were made to be broken, and they keep breaking every year. But his was never done before, and prob will never be. The amount of raw talent, god gift , practice and dedication as well as sheer determination made him the best athlete of all time.
