merry go round---> easy, boring, safe and secure

rollercoaster---> crazy, fun, exciting, lots of highs and lots of lows, drama

Is there no middle ground? I can't live a dull safe life - the boring would swallow me whole. But that doesn't mean I crave drama and instability. Both seem equally unappealing and unfulfilling.

Which life has nef nudes?

On the one hand, my boring life could prompt me to try and spice my life up a little. on the other hand, an unstable roller coaster could lead to a moment of weakness during one of the "lows."

It's a toss up.

Usually stability and being well off requires requires responsibility and a lot of hard work. (or in other words, its not easy or boring)

Stability doesn't mean being well off...but along those lines, working hard for money means less time for fun. Which is boring. For me a life without some adventure and risk is a wasted one.

I'd rather make less money and have less "stability" doing something i loved...and I plan on making that switch within the next five years.

No no, your misunderstanding what I mean by working hard. You can work hard for 3 days a week, and if you are really good at what you do, and not that many people can do it, you can make plenty of money to do what you want those other 4 days of the week.

And why cant you make a lot of money and be stable by doing something you love?

Not many people love doing the things that make a lot of money, and I can't think of any jobs that make a lot of money that you can work three days a week. They may be out there, but I'm pretty sure they aren't anything I love doing. Most people i work with don't love this - they love the paycheck. No one here is really all that happy.

In any case, regardless of how you interpret the "secure" part of the first option, it seems as though the implication of that option is that it's a life without much deviation from the middle. no thanks, not for me.
