MEH. You will see a old subject come up in a thread. Then go look for the thread about the subject and give it a bump. Or you will see a old member posting again then go find a old thread he made and pump it.


Yes I can see how it would have something to do with the subject of the day or what have you. But it can make things worse some times.

Exactly. Sometimes if something becomes relevant again, I'll bump it. There were always many "reasons" why it could be bad. Someone said bumping a thread that had banned members in it is drawing attention to them. Othertimes its just because it bumps newer fresh posts off the page too quickly. I don't to it to annoy, although to some, seeing a thread on the first page started over a year ago is always annoying.

I always figured, what's the point of having such a deep and rich history if we can't relive some of it from time to time?
