freakin crazy today at my gym!

I've never seen anyone fall of a tread, but I always am hoping for it.

I saw a lady step on one that was probably set at 7.5 mph to change the channel on the tv in front of her. The girl that was using it got off to get a drink and the lady that stepped on it had one foot on her treadmill and stepped right on the belt of the other one. It shot her straight back into the wall and knocked the wind out of her. I saw it from maybe 40 feet away. I knew it was going to happen, but I wouldn't have made it there in time.

Did he have his ipod on?
Maybe he was listening to something funny.
I've done that before

yeah, he had on earphones where the wire came out from under his shirt at the neck, so yeah maybe he had on some stand up or somthing.

what have you done before? just laugh out loud or laugh while doing crunches?

lol both
I love to listen to Chris Rock, he is hilarous, you can't help it

Last month I made use of my gym's AED. The manager said he now realizes why he bought the thing. 28-year-old on the treadmill collapsed. Shocked him twice, got a pulse back, started vomiting like crazy. EMS got there and ended up intubating him (placing him on a ventilator) because he was vomiting so badly. Turns out he had a "congenital heart defect" according to the gym manager. I'm wondering if he had HOCM/IHSS. I didn't see a Brugada pattern or prolonged QT on his 12-lead by EMS.

Some guy in the gym asked "are you a doc?" When I told him yea, he said "that's cool. You didn't even wait for the medics to leave before you went back to lifting!" Oh well. Do this for a while and it all becomes mundane.

oh i forgot...just wanted to let y'all know that creepy, laughing, ab-crunching old man was absent today. i saw a few regulars and i think everyone was anticipating, expecting or dreading his return.

I did back today. AND i've upgraded 5 pound heavier dumbbells for my rows!!!!

i wont say the amount of weight though cause you guys will make fun of me..

They outta stuff a couple LMA's in the AED packs for stuff like that.....I mean there's a good chance there might be a paramedic or a doc in the gym.
