HSBC is okay...Most retail store cards are HSBC. I've had problems with them in the past on certain cards, others they're great on.

Don't fuck around with chase. One let payment and they'll nail your credit for it. I deal with credit all day everyday, and they're pretty damn strict.

I like my visa that got through my credit union.

I have no clue, sorry. My only experience has been paying off two cards I had (Chase and an AT & T) and boy was that a bitch. Who would have guessed they'd try to penalize someone for paying a debt off. I called for a same day total and made the payoff a second later (on the phone) only to get a finance charge (another 62.00) for the remaining two weeks of the charge period (even though there was a zero balance).

After going through all the junk mail credit card offers that I hadn't thrown out yet, the best deal I found was another one from Chase, with 0.0% for the first year on all transfers and card purchases. Cash advances are not free but I'd never use that feature anyway. After the year it's 9.9%. So I applied online, got the usual e-mail reply "We'll let you know within 30-60 days", then today I got the card in the mail. It also has some sort of cash bonus feature.

I love it when the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. Don't like the rate on my Chase card? And they won't negotiate? Get another Chase card.
