Going under the knife.

The last of the surgeries was 10 years ago, no sleeping issues as far as which side i sleep on (and I always sleep on my side). The first two surgeries (one on each shoulder) were from the steady wear and tear over years of heavy lifting with bad form. The 3rd was a repeat because calcification happened in the joint and they had to go back in and clean it out.

Damn four months. Can you do any exercises? Cardio or legs? My legs lag bad. Maybe a good time to let them catch up. This is going to suck!

A few months aint shit rob, how old are you?

Whatever you do follow the doctors instructions for post surgery rehab exactly. Dont try to speed things up or get in the gym before he says so. Youll be able to do cardio before any weightlifting, as long as you arent using your arms to lift anything, so just go jogging or something, and the movement will be good for your shoulder. You want to get movement and activity in the joint as soon as you can BUT it has to be incremental, remember always follow your doctors timelines for what you can do and what you cant do. Pain will be your guide for a while, if it hurts, dont fucking do it no matter what.

For those that had the surgery or those that need it, what's it feel like when you RC goes? What is the early warning signs?

My surgery went really well. Typing right handed sucks! My rotator cuff was fine so I guess my first doc was an idiot. He said I had a hole in my RC. My new doc found nothing during surgery yesterday. He did a Subacromial Decompression. Basically, he cleaned my shoulder out.

SD, I'm 39. It's hard sitting around. I guess its even hard on active people like all of us. I bet he told me 50 times after the surgery DO NOT EXCERSICE!

My arm isn't asleep any more so the pain is on! Now I'll just sit back and read all the great, but long, posts on here I said I would read one day when I had more time. Got nothing but time now.
