So I got this great new job that required me to get my own car so I'm keeping the HHR and hubby got his own car, we go out to dinner to celebrate a bit (we had NO alcohol) and then we go home, my husband followed behind me all the way home, it was like 4-6 miles away, it was my first time driving both at night and raining so I was driving a bit slow/nervous, once we arrive home 3 squad cars come into my road (I'm the lsat house on a dead end road so clearly they were heading towards us) officer tells me they received a report of a vehicle matching my description having problems staying in their lane and asked me if I had been drinking, I said no and was very compliant, even told him he could test me and then 2 more squad cars arrive :worried: they looked at my eyes, tested my vision, I told them that as they can see in my license I'm a damn noob and was just a bit scared to switch lanes and was being a bit slow, they didnt give me any grief and said it was ok that they rather me be cautious than speeding and then they headed on out while a 6th squad car arrived, how mortifying, I'm glad I really dint have a drop to drink :(

What a mess :worried:

Cliff notes, I drive like a noob so someone reported I was maybe drunk and the cops came to my house but all is well cuz I didnt drive I just suck at life.

P.S. Hubby was behind me all the way and said I drove fine but there was a moment in which I hesitated a little changing lanes and went a bit past my lane but nothing serious, also said there was an asshole trying to pass us both but couldnt (I was going speed limit so wasnt that slow) and the same dude followed us home... creeper.

Hubby turned you in so he could cheat on you.

Nan!! I was just gonna make a thread about you!! Te extraño!

What's cool is, your neighborhood is mindful so had it been a drunk driver, they may have saved a life by calling.

As for you sucking at driving; keep practicing and you will do ok. Takes time to get good

It is a super safe place, nothing happens anywhere so all cops respond, ironically the guy who reported me was driving while callingso he was the one breaking the law lol

2 summers ago a lady left a dog in her car and there were 4 cop cars lol they must get bored

I'm thinking it was not neighbors but the d-bag who tried to pass you and then followed you to see if the cops would show up. What a little fucker. Needs his nuts smashed.

The worst part, it probably cost thousands of taxpayer dollars for that one incident. :) Gotta love government efficiency, they licensed you to drive after all.

You live in an old folks neighborhood where New Yorkers go to die.

Jews bro. New York is where Jews go to live, and Florida is where they go to die.

6 squad cars to check if you're driving drunk? Surely, there was another reason they were there. Someone probably mentioned you were mexican and they thought you were smuggling something. Even Americans are not that retarded to dispatch 6 police cars after one possibly drunk driver...

I can assure you they are. I drove up to Vermont for an alumni weekend get together and stayed at an inn that was located on top of a hill coming in from town. I went to fill up the tank and grab a couple things from the convenience store and started speeding up the hill. By the time I got to the inn there were 4 police squad cars, 2 followed me up and 2 coming from the opposite direction - all pulled in around me in the parking lot. Apparently I had 'accelerated aggressively' going up the hill - ended up getting a $200 ticket out of it.

It's slow and dull here, I once saw 3 squad cars just for a lady that left her dog in the car, I guess they all respond hoping they'll finally get to taze someone xD

Dude, their weapons are useless defense against a supposedly drunk nan. They had to stick together in case they needed to take her down.

Especially if it was late and someone thought she was black

Good point. Our police officers cant just be sitting around browing the interwebs at the po po station while real issues like this are happening everyday in our society.

No kidding. This is a serious issue that needs addressed before it gets out of hand. Criminals like nan need to be put away for good.

I got away with it!

if scooby doo and the gang was there to solve this mystery, you would have been saying, "And I would have gotten away with it too, if it wasn't for those meddling kids!"

You are lucky squad cars came instead of the scooby doo van!

Seems like a waste of tax money and a terrible waste of resources...why don't they allocate them where they are really needed? If it's slow there, why don't they allocate less units to that area and move extra units to other areas that are short on squad cars...wouldn't that decrease crime rate (realistically) in other areas? Isn't that the whole point?

I was pulled over in Carlsbad, CA one day while making a beer run during work hours and about 8 patrol cars came as back-up. I asked the lead officer if he brought enough friends and he justified it by Saying Carlsbad has virtually no crime rate due to the large officer presence.

I thought Cali has one of the highest crime rates largly because of the predominance of latino males...

Possibly in overall statistics, however Carlsbad is a wealthy beach-front community, so they don't have the same issues as some of the shitholes in the east county and the inland valley.

That is in Stockton. Crime central there.

That's nutz Nan. When that kid got shot out side of my apartment we had maybe 3 or 4 cop cars. And the apt manager was outside laughing and flirting with the cops.

They were hardly upset.
