Tattoos and jobs

Lol thats funny. I own my own business and have managed a few. I was a Ssg in the military. I think your life is meaningless if you have nothing better to do than try to belittle someone who expresses their opinion on a forum.

ur tattoos are ridiculously hot.

STFU!!!!!! So what if a person has a tattoo , doesn't mean their not functional members of society. It's called individualism, expression, Art!
Hell in some cultures it's an honor or a rite of passage into manhood. Most of the men I work with all have tattoos , an they're some of the hardest working SOB'S I know, so don't judge a book by its cover.

you touched on something here bro...we've become a society of judeo christian faggots. This whole anti tat things stems from our old testament jewish heritage that says if you adorn your body god won't take you into heaven, or something to that effect. So it's the fucking jews, yet again. These fucking hebrews have been so in my eye since like 3000 BC. The only half way quality joo was jesus and he said to them "cantstandya", so that should have been the end of it. Don't know why we're still following this shit. I really don't.

Wow fucking guy does what it takes to get hired, probably lucky to be alive. And you are going to fire him for choosing to leave the streets and be a productive participating member of society. I hope your joking or if your serious and you do fire him i hope he goes back to a life of crime breaks into your house in the middle of the night and blows your brains all over your floor and fucks your wife and kids (sons and daughters).

while i agree with the initial sentiment, that last part was a little over the top homie.

I recently hired a dude, who came in and interviewed all clean cut and dressed up. Now I see him in the shop, wearing a t shirt and i realize he's got ghetto looking gangster tats all over. He hasn't done anything wrong, but I'm looking for a reason to dump him.

how bout just talking to the dude, get the low down on the tats. Be upfront and say I need to make sure you're not a gangbanger. If he did a stint, got them inside but is now working his way out of that life.....cut him a fucking break dude he's working in a shop. It's not like he's making sales calls.

I interview and hire dudes all the time. I've got a couple other people with full sleaves, hand or neck tats. The problem is that they were open and honest about it during the interview.

This dude covered them all up, and said nothing about it. I already feel like he's trying to sneak one by me.

I bring big name and big dollar Gov't contacts as well as big name consumer product contacts through our shop. I don't want some pathetic ex-wannabe thugs throwing dirty looks at some Boeing contact.

I used to interview and hire people when I was a manager in retail. I hired a really cool black dude with dreadlocks and gang tats all over him. I didn't give a shit, he seemed really eager to work in the interview and I just liked his personality. He turned out to be THE hardest working motherfucker I've ever had the pleasure of working with. He did three times the amount of work than anybody else, and never complained.

It wasn't until several months later that I learned he didn't have a vehicle. He lived roughly 11 miles from our store, deep in the heart of a housing project. His neighbors were quite surprised when a clean looking white kid (me) was driving him home after work. He worked the 4 am truck shifts some days, meaning he was having to walk to work in the cold, rain, whatever.

When I found this out, I had to do something about it. I wasn't going to let a kid this good have to endure that any longer. I worked out a deal with him where I bought him a vehicle. He agreed to pay me back in monthly payments. I didn't charge him interest, I just wanted to do a good thing for a guy I highly respected. I cared more about what this guy thought than what my shithead bosses/managers thought.

I got him a cheap sedan, about 100k miles on it. I paid around $5,000 for it. Never once regretted my decision. For all I know, I broke several rules at my company, I don't really know. I also never gave a shit, he deserved it. He's never been late on a single payment, and even though we live in different states now, we still talk all the time.

Just goes to show you looks really don't matter. It's what's in a man's heart that count.
