now, not knowing much about the case it looks shady to me, unjustified homicide.
zimmerman, btw, is hispanic or at least appears to be so from the pic i saw...howcome, though, all the lib rags and black blogs are screaming bloody racist and dennouncing the man (ie white people esp conservatives who secretly want this sorta thing to happen by passing gun laws like florida has "stand your ground") but when a white bro is murdered by a black (happens more frequently than the opposite) you never hear anything about racism/marches for justice/etc? and if someone asks how come there isn't a hate crime charge/investigation the media/da wil say there is no proof it was racist based...but the only proof needed for white on black crime is the act in itself...it's like the media is super afraid of the possiblity that maybe, just maybe white folks aren't the only ones who harbor racism and saying so will trigger an onslaught of marches/dennounciations/lawsuits...so we just move along like sheep acting like it never happened, meanwhile everyone get's into a frenzy and acts as if slavery/lynching/jim crow is under every rug when some dbag kills a black bro.
a murder such as the zimmerman deal is not just a dbag killing a black, it's as if the entire white race did it and will do more if not checked and checked hard.

I've been following it in our local news, people are outraged and pressuring for an arrest... based on what I've seen on the news it went down like this:
Zimmerman is on community watch,sees a black kid and calls 911 while following him,911 dispatcher tells him to STOP following the kid,to which he says "but they always get away" he also calls him a coon on the recording :worried:
The kid was also on the phone at time of death, he is heard telling his friend on the phone that someone is following him and his friend tells him to run, the kid then thinks he lost Zimmerman when he suddenly appears again and asks him :what are you doing here?" scuffle is heard and kid gets shot

All I know is the kid was not armed, he wasnt doing anything wrong and he was a teenager, even if he did attack Zimmerman it may be because the wacko was following him and he got scared...

I just turned on a local news show just as they were showing a pic of the Martin kid and he is so young and just seeing his pic made me so sad about the entire thing. How senseless. The kid is only a little older than my own child. His parents must be devastated. great now i feel emotional
 
Zimmerman is a jewish name.

He did call the kid a "coon" in the 911 call. And, the fact that the teen was black is probably why Zimmerman assumed he was up to no good and chased him in the first place.

It's not an idictment of the entire white race, but this incident was racial.

-stimulate new anti-gun laws/legislation and no more "castle doctrines" or "stand your ground" clauses...the next time a dbag breaks into your house you'll have to let him pillage and rape or risk being charged as a racist murderer
-further fuel black-centric groups to hate on whitey and enact legislation restricting talk radio and further racial agendas that promote black centric anti-white thought...afterall all white folks secretly enjoy this sort of event, one less black to worry about

this past weekend there were 10 firearm fatatlities in Chi-town, including a 6 yr old girl, 49 peeps were wounded via firearms in the same weekend...yet no uproar, no civil rights marches, nobody demanding justice.

You don't hear about the reverse because if 250lb black man Trayvon Martin kills 140lb white kid George Zimmerman not only does an officer visit George's house within the hour but Trayvon is under the jail before this is even a story. You are on a Whitney Houston size mountain of crack if you think any different.

The reason it strikes a cord with me has nothing to do with race. It's a senseless murder of a young man/child. I am saddened anytime I am made aware of a story where a child is murdered. 1. Nobody gives a shit when one black guy shoots another black guy.
2. When a black guy shoots a white guy it's news and he's usually caught.
3 When a white guy shoots a black guy a "disproportionate" number of them (in comparison to black on white crime) are either never brought to trial or exonerated.

Saw on the local news that the police was doing a re-enactment onsite and in the part where the kid presumably attacked the guy cuz he was armed everyone in the crowd and around started throwing skittles at the officer :worried:

The fact that nobody on this forum can name a case, that made news, where the black guy killed a white guy and walked around free for a month while the cops figured out if he needs to be in jail is the biggest stat I need.

actually the audio has been released. he said "these fucking coons" and I heard it on Anderson's talk show yesterday. they also played other 911 calls of people in the neighborhood who called 911 and on at least one of them, you can HEAR the boys voice in teh background yelling HELP!

As a parent, that voice would haunt me until the day I die.

He’s in his truck (which he mentions he has @ about 3:20), he gets out or opens his door after he says “he’s running” (door alarm is ringing in the back ground), it’s raining (apparently, as he says @ about 0:22). Observed precipitation was .17 inch with a low of 52′ F (per weather.com). Consider all the facts, analyze the whole recording, and not just what you want to hear/focus on. Does this mean Zimmerman’s justified? No. I’m not saying that, but he’s not saying the “racial slur” people are claiming.

Sheep will hear what they want to hear..

Moral of the story,
Two wrongs do not make a right and unfortunately a young bro lost his life.

Going with your scenario, young bro was acting in self defense because some nut-job was chasing him; no wrong on his part.

If dip shit shot the kid in the back (even afer being thumped) it's murder 2. I'd have no problem convicting him if on the jury.

from what i know about the case he wasn't standing his ground at all, and wasn't menaced...so the law is really irrelevant.
of course the profiteers of misery (naacp/ant-gun fux, etc) will use this issue to pass feel good tough on guns legislation that will strip out stand your ground and castle doctrines...so the only armed up bors will be thugs and gov goons

That's nothing new.

On the SATs or other things that require you to identify a race, white people check the "white (non-Hispanic)" box.

There's a good book called Black Cuban, Black American. It happens to be about Tampa, where I live. It takes place decades ago during all the "separate but equal" bullshit. Hispanic communities were separated because some looked "white" and some looked "black"....it's especially true of Cubans, Puerto Ricans and Dominicans.

You don't hear about it with other ethnicities because there's only one color Asian or "black" or Indian unless they start mixing with another race. Hispanic is the only one I can think of that has people of completely different colors that both fully belong to the Hispanic culture.
