Well here goes the first post of my first log!

Age: 22
Sex: Female
Weight: 175
Height: 5'5"

Goals:
Bulk some but mostly cut. I am looking to put some nice size on my shoulders, build back strength up and then hopefully cut about 20-30lbs.

A little of information for all following. I will be doing 75% of this transformation log while on a 60+ night turnaround. Which means I will be working my butt off at work for 12 hours from 4pm to 4am, 1 hour each way to work. Hopefully get about 6 hours of sleep, get to the gym, then get ready to do it all over again! I will really be challenging my mind and body with all of this! Then on May 6th my fiancee and I get to fly to Fiji and enjoy our wedding and honeymoon on the beach!! I will be posting up pictures in the afternoon on the 5th since I am currently at work. Also I will try to start posting workouts and my food for the day!

good luck, i too will be doing the contest with a hectic schedule so i can definetly understand your pain, but it will be interesting to see how someone else juggles the long hours and the demands of a gym and a diet plan.

A little more information:

I am currently in week 5 of anavar 10mg twice daily. I feel great on it and have seen some wonderful strength and size increases. I am planning on doing a 3 on 1 off schedule due to the up coming turnaround (in 2 weeks :-( ). I wanted something that I would be able to stick with the whole time.

As for the workouts, I will be doing a normal split. Back and biceps, chest and tris, and my favorite legs and shoulders. The actual workouts will be a mix of a workout program by none other than our own Radar and a mix of my own knowledge.

Cardio, I have been doing 6 days a week. I am currently working my way up in time. I hope to be doing about 30 to 45 mins in the next week or so.

Diet:
My diet consist of high protein, high fiber, with fats coming from my lean meats. FYI- Fiber is a wonderful, wonderful addition to anyone who wants to lose a little or a lot! Consuming just 25-30 grams of fiber is like eliminating about 600 calories out of your diet! Your body works so hard on trying to digest the fiber it just burns and burns. Call me a fiber queen but it does wonders lol.

I will try again to start posing my meals and workouts today.

I eat a lot of apples pair sweet pot now ....

Well today was me and my soon-to-be husbands off day from the gym and cardio. Thank goodness! I have been so run down with everything. After yesterdays workout I had to take 4 powdered " Goodies" just to ease the pain. I had knee surgery about 7 years ago and it still hurts me. I have to wear a brace for anything other than normal activities. For some reason with the added cardio my right foot, under my pinky in the fleshy part, is KILLING me!! Also my right ankle has been hurting. I think the day off is what I needed! My diet has been pretty solid today, just need to desperately go grocery shopping! Tomorrow will hopefully be a pain free run and workout!!

Food was on track for the most part. Great quality food but went for a 16oz ribeye with the fat cut off, broccoli, and a sweet potato...yumm!!!!

Why is it that on a time schedule everyone wants to stand and talk to someone for literally 45mins!! This was an okay leg workout and a pretty solid shoulder work out! I feel a lot more comfortable with behind the head shoulder presses!

Thanks girl! I can't wait to do the whole routine that Radar gave me!! I completely agree!! I almost said something to the man but my fiancee told me to be nice lol. It just really made me mad this time because 2 of my leg workouts were taken by the same two people the whole time I was in the gym. Then 1 of the shoulder workouts was taken by a different person the whole time. It just stinks being on a time schedule when everyone else isn't!!

Hey Britts just read your log. On your foot, get you a tennis ball and foll that under each foot every night. I would bet this will help you out. Also you are doing leg extensions. Thats not good espicially with having a knee injury.
Would be much much better for you to be doing Front Squats. They dont put nearly the stress on your patella as the crap extensions do and give your quads a much better wrokout.

I usually do leg press, smith machine squats and wide sumo squats. With the front squats do you recommend having the weight in front of you or would the smith machine squats work? I always keep my feet out in front when doing my smith machine squats.

Zed has some valid points, leg extensitions are good for warm ups besides all they do is work the Tear Drop muscle and others around the knee cap. so warm ups are fine.even in my training i don't put too much Emphasis on them.
Also,When doing machine squats occasionally turn your feet out wards and inwards during a few sets this will hit the muscles at another angle.

I always prefer BBLS. This is because this allows your body to move in its natrual planes of movement. For those of us with less then stellar knees this really is important.
 
I'm thinking where you do squats with Smith Zed might mean use a barbell and squat rack chic as smith does limit your movement and can cause issues with lifting.
 
So I decided to let yall get an inside look at my meals and schedule " A day in the life Brittneyleigh". Let me know what yall think and recommendations please!!

This is a daylight meal plan a schedule.

2:45am- Wake up

4am- Get to work and take 10mg Var, and supplements

6am- Breakfast
16oz. coffee with creamer(low fat)
1large pear
2 slices of sprouted whole grain bread
1 4oz. Non fat yogurt

9am- Snack
2 clemintine oranges

11am- Lunch
1.5 grilled chicken breast
1 large sweet potato(plain yumm!!!!!)

2pm- Snack
1.5 scoops of protein powder

4pm- Off work!!!

5pm- Tan (this is my relax time)

5:30pm- Gym

7pm- Cardio

8pm- Dinner
2 grilled chicken breast
1.5 cup of steamed corn

8:45pm- Shower

9:30pm- Try to go to sleep.

10pm - 10:30pm- Actually fall asleep

Totals:
1441 calories
15 fat
179 carbs
25 fiber
148 protein

Then I start all over at 2:45am again.
I will be starting straight nights on the 19th so it will change. Thanks ahead of time for yalls responses!!

Anytime sista!! You will feel the difference there much better that way.
As for a day in the life of you lol. Looks great to me I would maybe add a small meal in at 5pm so your eating every 3 hours just just I noticed your going from 2-8 without a meal , it's best to eat smaller and more often.
Other than that all looks good!! ESP the coffee and tan lol I love that!
 
Donna is right you need 6-7 meals a day with some protein in each!

DBL is dumbells, the wieghts that you hold in each hand

What you are looking for is a good carb to fiber ratio, because fiber is a carb. Just remember ease into the.high fiber or you will have stomach cramps and gas like crazy!!! Hope this helps!! Good luck!!

Hey Britts, for some reason it seems that most of the time these "assisted" machines actually retard strength and growth. Possibly try doing megative only pull ups untill you can get to a reg pullup. Or do as much of a pullup as you can and then do reps of that. Like if you can a half pullup then do reps of half pullups. As you do these then each time you come back to this workout really work on getting closer to a full pullup.
If you do the negatives, then you really really have to fight that going down to get the bene from them. I mean fight every inch of it chika.
Actually by doing either of theses or a combo of them you will get to a full pull up in not time at all.

Okay everyone a question for yall! How many calories do you think I should be consuming? I'm 5'5" 175lbs. This is normally what I eat. My only issue is I am going over the calories daily I'm trying to stay between 1400-1500. Is this a big deal? I have yet to see any weight drop as of yet. I am trying to get to about 150 so that is about 25lbs. Please let me know what yall think and any help would be loved!!!!

6am- Breakfast

2 slices of sprouted whole grain bread

Next time do this, head butt (aim for chin) knee to groin, elbow to head (or nails to eyes) then back off and draw pistol. Lol!

Very wise. No telling the damage a misdirected Strongly Worded Letter of Disapproval (SWLD) can do! That's why we don't leave pens and paper lying around when there are children present.
