A lot of oilfield work south of San Antonio. San Antonio is cool, but those small towns south of there, like Uvalde, Eagle Pass, Carrizo Springs, are crap, especially compared to California living. But housing in Texas is really cheap. If you could sell a Cali house you could probably figure a way to make it in Texas.

yes.. it seems most if not all these companies want to see you in person... that way they dont hire a bunch of people that never show up...
