did lambruh relapse? he's been way too quiet.

if he is in fact around- me claiming to be a tr00 fan will whack his beehive...

I decided a few weeks back to replace all my Longhorns hats that were getting too grimy. Picked up a couple others I didn't have before too. There are no doubles seen below, the identical ones would be different sized fitted hats. I need these because as my weight fluctuates with the seasons so does the size of my head (no Omega). I've got a new Astros jacket in the mail as well.

I was thinking of making this thread a week or two ago. I hope he's okay.

I'd like to think that the recent success of my Saints and Mavs pushed him into hiding. I know both of these has to really piss him off.

i'm here, sup

good call, I actually did lapse and went on a two week bender of opana's (no IV), then checked myself back in a outpatient program. Doing very good again, staying busy though right now

Doc said he wanted to run me on Suboxone for a year, I said not happening

1. It's $500 a month of subox w/o RX insurance (i only have med)
2. I don't need to jump on a synthetic op/op-blocker for a year simply over a quick relapse

so... i'm going to out patient meetings 5 times a week 3hrs a day after work. I got a job back being a mortgage consult =/

I'm getting fat to

it happens, nice work getting back on track. should be manageable without the 'oxone, especially since you know what to expect the second time around. you can't let yourself get fat though, being ugly is handicap enough.

Sorry to hear about the mini-relapse, but it's great to hear you are back on track.

One of my best friends and former lifting partners got completely torn-up over oxys. It destroyed several years of his life and almost killed him.

Now he's starting medical school in two weeks. It was incredibly hard for him to get back on track (harder than I can imagine), but it can be done!

What do you think triggered this recent relapse Lambruh? I never took more than 3 -5 vikes in a day back in the day, but when I was depressed after a break-up I was drinking with them many months (2-3 a days a week) because it eased my fucked up sad thoughts. Never again though, and strange thing about me is that if I drink a lot the next day my hand shakes but the idea of drinking than repulses me. Even if I take one vicodin the next day I start to sweat out of nowhere, but once again the last thing on my mind is taking more at that time. I like a thermogenic type feeling in a way.
So to start using you must have been triggered by something I guess, and I know you said you were drinking so you were probably around people who had some too. You still drinking?

cheers bro, i recently quit blazing weed so i kinda know what you are going thru, on a much smaller scale

I'm not drinking now, I never really was or have been a drinker. 2-4 drinks a night - 1-2 times per week at most. Ill prlly b drink free for some months.
My trigger was I got a hold of a jar of opanas (oxymorphone) for free and I couldn't turn it down.. after they ran out I started buyin some OPs, then reality hit me and I checked in before I started intra-v again. I got cocky n thought I could control, didn't happen.

I'm sure the wake-and-bakers can quit anytime!

yeah they proly can, I was able to and smoked for 20 yrs, usually wake n baking every day.
the legal drugs your buddies hand out like candy (you know, the pharmy drugs) seem to be a bit more severe.

Man, quitting those Newports really kicked my ass - but I did it!

quitting weed wasn't terribly difficult, but it wasn't fun either.
still want to blaze it up...when it becomes legal and my job stops being such cvnts about it i will resume.
just too much at stake, plus i got my cdl so the tests come frequently.
regardless, it should be an individual's choice to use opiates or weed, and not up to a gov agency.

I dont disagree with that at all. I mean let's face it, if someone wants to toke up, they're gonna, regardless of whether its legal or not.

I agree with that. But it should also be my choice to pay for people who choose to use opiates or weed too. Right now I have to subsidize them so the fewer who use, the better.

I wish they'd keep everyone out of everyone else's pockets, then we could put oxys at the check-out of 7-11.

sigh, i've mentioned this countless times, you are paying out the ass for it to be illegal.
-cop pensions
-drug courts, P.O salaries, judges, counselers, etc.
-all the fancy toys the cops love to have to keep the streets safe of drugs
(helicopters, infared, wiretapping tech, etc)
-the housing of prisoners.
-lol, my employer just bought a few drones, to scope out the forests for cartel grow operations...i wonder how much they cost? just charge the consumer we don't give a fuk right?

if you are a true proponent of small gov it should be a no-brainer.
if you are a true proponent of forcing a certain sort of morality on the pop, then obviously not...i am firmly the former.

I could fix the cost issue in a second. Just make possession a non-jail time crime. Instead, make it a flat $10,000 per incident civil penalty. Let the IRS collect the money just like they would back taxes. That pays for the war on drugs and discourages use at the same time.

I'm a problem solver!

nah i think you are a secret fan of big gov, a supposed republican wanting to increase the IRS manpower and clout, at the expense of freedom of choice?
you can never bitch about big gov, your true colors are clearing exposed with these sentiments

Sometimes relapse is all part of getting clean, it's a journey, and in no way did you fail or do anything wrong. Sometimes more "research" can be the kick in the butt we need to stay off for good.
Glad to hear you're back on track.

plunk irregardless and unreasonable response in 3... 2....

understandable that he walks away from such a hypocritical stance, how can the EF voice of small gov advocate increasing the IRS goon squad's forces?
baffles me that on a drug based web site someone can be so in favor of heavy handed drug laws.
i wonder if he wants his fellow good bros to get arrested and taxed by the gov for using 'roids?

1) We have to have some means to collect money, irregardless (channeling redsam on that spelling) of our stance on drugs.

2) I use scripts. Since I subsidize others' health care, I'm against illegal steroid use too!

And let me reiterate... keep people out of my pockets and I'll support handing-out coke, heroin, oxies and zannies on "Pick Your Drug Night" at the Texas Rangers game.

1. collect money via taxes on the controlled sale of drugs (and think of all the savings with reduced prison costs, pig pensions/union clout, etc)
2. scripts for sauce, hahahha! can't fool me with that one bro, i got them to...
legalize and let the individual make his/her choice it's the only conservative way

1) You're not going to be one of those people who think we can pay the national debt with pot taxes, are you?

2) Grats on your scripts! Being 43 and in a stressful job (which unquestionably lowers test levels), I can find a nice, local GP who writes them for me cheap. No more trips to Florida for me.

1. hell no, not at all...but i'm also not just talking about weed, i'm talking about every illegal drug.
you wanna do meth? great go for it.
the right to swing your fist ends at my nose though...so when your meht habit encroaches on me (breaking into my house/robbing/etc) then a crime has been broken.
would generate some serious revenue, obviously not gonna pay the national debt off though...but you keep on skipping over the valid costs of the drug war, and all the toys that come with it.
can you believe that a branch of the usda just bought 3 or 4 drones to monitor weed grows? how many millions you think that cost? or prisons? or P.Os? or cops?? billions bro, that could definetly be spent better.

2. legal test is the only way i will role, and the only steroid i will use

The right to swing should end at my wallet, not my nose. I'd take a reasonable shot to the nose in exchange for keeping people out of my wallet. It's all about priorities.

well the usda just hit your wallet for a couple million so they can fly drones around bumblefuk norcal in search of marijuana plants.
how do you feel about that?

At $10,000 per person, it should pay off quickly. Hell, if they sent me a pro forma I might invest in some norcal drone bonds. Let's privatize that bitch and get paaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiiid!

(Seriously, I know a good lobbyist. Let's make this happen!)

It would be the fine for possessing pot. Make it a non-jail crime and instead just charge a civil penalty (per incident) to pay for the war on drugs.

how does pot effect society in such a costly fashion?
surely the pharmy substances you seemingly profit off of (only explanation i can think of for your unreasonable stance on a plant) cause a sheetload more social cost than weed does, same with alcohol or tobacco

I do zero in pharma.

Pot destroys initiative and contributes to our permanent underclass. It's also a great gateway drug.

Don't get me wrong, as long as I'm subsidizing I'd be against alcohol, whoppers, illegal gear and milkshakes. Forced subsidization is an excellent way to give someone else a ticket to vote on an issue they shouldn't ordinarily get input.

doesn't alcohol destroy initiative as well?
and wouldn't most people's first experience with mind altering substances most likely be tobacco, then booze, then pot?
that's how it went for me and my friends.
and you are subsidizing all the above you listed, yet you constantly wail on the weeds...their is a lot of good smoked out bros here, myself, ortiz, lestat...all with pretty good careers.
do you think we are initiativeless losers who bog you millions down?
come on man, be a little more open minded, reefer madness is a fraud.
you don't have to be a hippie to support free choice

Did you not see that I'm against alcohol, whoppers and milkshakes too? I didn't even list tobacco because I figured that was a given.

And sure, there are some foggers who do just fine. But there are also people who can do coke and oxies just fine too. That doesn't mean that others won't have problems with them.

lol @ prepaid

1. stop messing around with desperate married women with two kids that are my age and you won't have to hide your number
2. prepaid = you clearly don't convo/txt much with women
3. boasting about some sweet nothings a chick shot you, is like bragging about the rarity of drinking water

paragraph one:
-okay then, if that is really how you feel then i agree...but i'm skeptical, you seem to have a particular axe to grind with weed, and you throw those other items in their as a cover...I know you think all weed heads are long hair hippy dbags, and a lot are, but that's not always the case, look at ortiz and i (lestat maybe?)

para two:
-people have problems with whoppers and beers, but not everyone does.
same with weed, and the reason why it should be left up to the individual to make that call on all fronts.
education is the key, not jail or pig policing.

it's not very often he actually gets to score real life pussy instead of a fleshlight...let him have his moment.

Personally, I say just ban tobacco and alcohol. Then everyone will have something to bitch about.

The impression that I'm selectively against weed is inaccurate. I lump it in there with tobacco, alcohol and harder drugs. One person's nicotine is another person's oxyies.

What's the update with the joose testing scare at work?

I just went sailing with my dad today and he told me that he smokes pot. Holy shit that blew me away, I had NO clue. I asked him about some pot he confiscated from me when I was a teenager and he told me he smoked it... Pwned! And btw, he's been successful his entire life, healthy and the hardest working man I've ever known. This ones for you pops!
