I don't know wtf you're talking about...
Your god is Yaweh....another person may have a god named Athena, Thor, Marduk, Kali....or any other of the tens of thousands of gods created by humans to establish the rules for their society.
Deities were created as a primitive police force for primitive cultures. From the Yaweh perspective; If a person feels like they are under constant observation and subject to judgment from a supernatural dictator they are less likely to engage in anti-social behavior and conform to societal norms.

Gotta love it when atheists decree to the rest of us what gods may or may not think, know, or do. Man didn't create gods, but neither did the gods create man.

That being said, Yahweh is a bit of an asshat, but so are plenty of other gods. Most of the gods of polytheistic cultures have nothing to do with "rules" ... think on the behavior of say, Zeus. He's all about marital honesty, monogamy, consensual sex
The gods are archetypes, being essential human characteristics or even universal facts made manifest (the Hindu trilogy of Shiva, Brahma and Vishnu is a good example).

Believing in the spiritual is a wonderful way to live. To center my life around the material (when the material does not matter...because it doesn't) makes life pointless. I would try to distract myself in different ways but any attempt I make to try to find meaning I could quickly explain away.
Thinking spiritually isn't something you just start doing...it's something you learn to do. There is nothing illogical or unclear about thinking spiritually, it is simply thinking from another perspective.
And imo there is a God or gods that is/are closely connected with morality but you have to be able to think spiritually to understand the truth about this. If you don't think about it too long, and keep distracting yourself, maybe you won't notice that when a cigar is just a cigar...life sucks. IMO a cigar is not just a cigar, and we were not designed to live that way.
