what about him?
you don't remember that part from the Last Crusade?
what about him?
lmao
lart laid some smackdowns in here
I don't believe you've read the bible in it's entirety...
you know whats a really crazy mindfuck?
christians claim they believe in 1 god, but also believe in the holy trinity, say jesus is gods son, making him a god, and then the holy spirit exists, to complete the trinity, but theres still 1 god, 3 godly entities forming the one god,
basically christians suck at math and logic. in the latin alphabet jehovah begins with an I
if there is a god that created this entire universe made up of trillions of stars, planets and seemingly infinite space, and god created one planet with millions of living organisms, and chose only one specific kind of living organism to experience life after death, and there was only two options for these prized creations in the after life of infinite time, and there was only one way to receive salvation, and the one way was to be written in one book that was to be the sole book of the universe divinely inspired by god, and god wanted to save his living masterpiece from suffering for eternity, is the bible really the best god could do?? that's the pinnacle of his literary ability?
i mean it is the best selling book of all time i guess
no ticket
Thanks Smurfy,
Like I said, to me it is a bunch of horseshit and I am entitled to my opinion and I in a way am saving people by pointing out ridiculous things like the literal belief in religion. My strong words could help straighten people out instead of living in La La Land.
You calling me and others morons for believing in god changes nothing in how any of us feel about it - no more than we are able to pursuade you. Don't flatter yourself to think you have that much influence. Ceo's methods are far more effective - he at least knows what he is talking about and has studied the bible enough to have an intelligent debate without name calling. I hate his straw man methods and they are infuriating, but if anyone on this board has the ability to make believers ask questions, it's HIM, not you.
whatabout me? my post on the first page started this fiasco
where is MY attention![]()

i believe in ancient alien theory
I'm sorry it doesn't matter to you, for now. I hope for your sake that will change one day. I mean that. And no, it's nowhere near the same. It's not even in the same stratosphere.
I believe people who lash-out at religion the hardest are the ones still having the toughest time letting it go.

You must have been fogged up when you wrote this
I believe people who lash-out at religion the hardest are the ones still having the toughest time letting it go.
If someone has a particular belief system and it doesn't hurt someone else, we probably should just let sleeping dogs die.
I don't care what you believe or worship in your "heart of hearts"I believe people who lash-out at religion the hardest are the ones still having the toughest time letting it go.
same applies to homosechuality
just sayin'
Wow religion thread!…
Yea This should turn out well!
I believe that people who constantly tout their particular brand of religious "truth" are the ones who are trying the hardest to still convince themselves.
I think that group is pretty convinced. But I also think they are trying to use religion to fulfill more than its original purpose.
I personally believe religion served our ancestors by giving them enough security and comfort that they could get on with their day-to-day lives. Once religion became the basis for their day-to-day lives, it probably began having increasingly negative effects.
I think that the major purpose that religion served our ancestors was to empower a class of priests who didn't have to do any work. It's a nice gig if you can get it. They can consolidate their power through fear, without having to physically defend their position the way a tribal chieftain does.
Well obviously!
I was raised Church of Christ. I'm even trained in the church (they used to start you at 12).
I'm an atheist now, but I'm far from a militant atheist. Religion served a purpose at some point in our evolution. It can be argued that we're past that now, but anyone pretending to understand the brain that well is probably full of crap. I know I sure don't know if our brains are "evolved" enough to move forward without it.
I'll also go a step farther. If someone has a particular belief system and it doesn't hurt someone else, we probably should just let sleeping dogs die. I'll admit I like to poke fun at the sun worshipers from time-to-time, but it's more over their jacked environmental attitude than it is their specific religious beliefs.

You're talking about ancient times, right? Hard to tell because you switch to present tense. If you think being a priest now is easy work, I'm going to need to educate you.
I am utterly fascinated by the fact that an otherwise intelligent group of people have pounded away at christianity (religon) with a barrage of 'I feel', 'I think', and 'I believe' yet not one of you wants to discuss any pertinent writings, archeology or historical facts.
Even more fascinating is that all of us here are present on a website partially dedicated to educating away the misnomers of AAS, AS and other body-building supplements. In other words, we are interested in the truth. The real science of the body and how it all works. And specifically how we can make it work to the fullest by exploring and understanding human body chemistry and all it entails.
Does anyone else see this?

I am finding myself unable to let this one slide. It would almost be funny if I didn't think you were being serious. And yes, you are entitled to your opinion. But somewhere in your head you veered off into considering yourself to be some sort of theological Robin Hood, saving the poor from the wicked divine taskmaster.
The brilliant lartinos has decreed! I will therefore set aside the testimony of George Washinton, Abraham Lincoln and John Adams. I will think nothing of the thoughts and conclusions of Blaise Pasqual, Sir Isaac Newton, Galileo and Copernicus. I will disregard the words of Tony Dungy, Reggie White, Tom Landry, Bobby Bowden, A.C. Green and Kurt Warner. I will pay no heed to the written testimony or the life testimony of the Apostle Paul, Peter, James, Luke or John. No, not even the great minds and thinkers the likes of Dr. George Washington Carver, C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien or Martin Luther will persuade me. And I will ignore modern day world changers like Dr. Martin Luther King and Ronald Reagan. With his extensive study while going to catholic school, Lartinos has concluded that God is the Easter Bunny and believing He exists is La-La land. Thank God for Lartinos! Oops. Sorry about that.
Now in case the sarcasm is lost on you boy, I will elaborate. I made a small list of men who either changed the world or changed the world around them. And do you know what each of them has in common? Other than you aren't fit to tie their shoes, each and every one of them would bear witness of God and His presence in their lives. Even Albert Einstein, though never professing a belief in Christ, insisted that the only logical conclusion to the existence of the universe was that it was CREATED.
Your so-called 'strong words' are little more than an emotional tirade not terribly unlike a kid throwing a fit cause someone said something he didn't happen to like. And what was it that qualifies (in your mind) your words to have the weight to persuade? Oh yeah! You went to catholic school! That's like saying my opinion deserves a seat at the table with the NFL and the players cause I played HS football.
Again, you absolutely are entitled to your opinion. Hell, you're even entitled to mock those who disagree with you. Have at it. But if your delusion runs so deep that you errantly believe your baseless emotional ranting has some power to stand up to the study and testimony of the above mentioned icons, you are sadly mistaken! Not to mention the thousands of others I didn't list.
I will gladly stand with those who profess God and the Lord Jesus. Looks like I'm in good company. You can stand over there with Kinsey, Nietzsche, Lenin, Darwin and Stalin.
There's a huge fallacy in your argument - by definition, faith is the belief in something for which there is no proof.
Facts have no place in a discussion about any religion. And that's not a knock on religion by any means, but it's just the way it is.
You're right, Redrocker. You never misrepresent facts...like by telling me Hagar wasn't a wife of Abraham, then after hearing me quote Genesis as saying she was, telling me you'd known that for 10 weeks. Which if true, would mean you purposely falsified facts for the sake of your argument.
I agree with you, but let he who has not sinned cast the first stone, ya know?

Logical Fallacies Appeal to Authority
Sorry Sub, Allah and Jehovah are indeed not the same. Not even close.
All monotheistic religions worship the same deity, by definition.
Otherwise you're admitting that more than one deity exists.

I second this motion.I believe lartinos is a phagette![]()
where the fuck you been bish nugga
true SB...I've had no desire to post either
Al Qaeda just confirmed it as well and quite clearly they are pissed as fuck....
Al Qaeda, in Web message, confirms bin Laden's death - CNN.com
The statement, translated by SITE, lauded the late militant, threatened to take action against the United States, and urged Pakistanis to "rise up and revolt."
Bin Laden's death will serve as a "curse that chases the Americans and their agents, and goes after them inside and outside their countries," the message said.
"Soon -- with help from Allah -- their happiness will turn into sorrow, and their blood will be mixed with their tears," it said.

Dude I been busy as shit and basically burnt out on EF to be honest. Without you around I honestly had no desire to post. I helped Cane with some of his threads but for the most part that was the extent of my posting, other than answering PM's and helping young nugga's out. Where you been? It just is not the same around here without you and Puddz.
gimme all yer karmaz afeedz!

No.
You should give me karma for my birthday in a few days![]()
Nice!
It's strange how these religious threads bring our random posters that otherwise lay dormant. Always fun to get the churchies worked up.

pretty sure you were the only one that got worked up![]()
Holly fuck look at all that Karma!!!!give it to me, I need it!
give me 10% damn it!Oh yeah... Here is a question for the churchies. What would you say to people who describe "you people" as sheep?
Oh yeah... Here is a question for the churchies. What would you say to people who describe "you people" as sheep?
I can't speak for every Christian but I'd just punch em square in the fucking face. I would immediately ask for forgivness and when I felt the Lord had forgiven me, I'd help the person to their feet and scissors kick them in the fucking head. At this point the person would be thinking to themselves boy that's one mean ass sheep, and he sure packs a helluva punch. At which point after his recovery he would go tell all his nonbeliever friends that sheep are vicious and not to be fucked with.
I would say that they may have some knowledge of the bible since scripture describes us that way as well. Isa. 53:6 "We all like sheep have gone astray."
Take a stand for God son. You'd be surprised how beating the fuck out of somebody gets them closer to Jesus.LMAO!! Okay, that's one way to handle it.

Good grief SB! LMAO!! Are you trying to get the milk up my nose! That is soooo wrong and yet so hilarious! You're just working on your standup routine for Liberty U aren't ya?!?
I'm not jokeing at all. I beat the fuck out of a guy bout 3 years ago, a doctor. Doctor's have this whole God complex bullshit about them, don't believe whatever. This guy was very outspoken about his nonbelief. Well within the first 2 two punches to his nose and mouth he came to know God and Jesus, and even called them by name. The more I throwed punches to his face and knees to his ribs the closer he came to God, he even asked God to come into my heart and for Jesus to call 911. Well by the time it was over and he lay in a pool of his own piss and blood in the parking lot of his office Jesus had answered his prayers, as the police had came and peppper sprayed me at which point that particular officer came to know God and Jesus. Long story short this gentleman is now a member of the local church, he and his wife are doing well, and he is even called me to thank me for bringing him and his family to the Lord. It is true my child God works in mysterious ways, sometimes through miracles and other times God directs his vengence through the iron fists of his faithful follower S to the mutha fucking Beeezzzy, Nugga.
lol that's quite an imagination you have there
That's a true story bish nugga.
Lartinos...beliefs set aside, you're crazy to think any "churchie" as you call them gives two-shits about your name-calling or your opinions on the matter any more than you care about theirs.
Lol @ thinking you affect any of them more than they affect you.
