You can't just cancel your long distance? That's what I did. I still have voicemail, caller id, etc but I could have cancelled those also

they've jacked up the price of a local calling land line that for $20 more/mo you can get unlimited calling. it's like $35/mo just for a fucking phone. highway robbery.

In wa we have Qwest, it's the only choice, but I have just local, no long distance and it's $20 a month. I just buy a calling card about every 3 months. MUCH cheaper than all those scams they've got out there.
