I bet the quality of their food goes down when the gringos try and cook that stuff. I knew someone that worked for me once who was one of the hardest workers at my store. One day I came in and he wasn't there anymore. He lost his job and I thought it was fucked up he couldn't work there any more. I could have picked a bunch of people I would have liked to disappear other than that guy. Is it right to just fire these people?

This hits such a gray area for me man. I have to agree with the law they need to have legal documents to be employed. With that said they are just trying to make a living its hard to deny anybody that.

He cheated and skipped to the front of the line while everyone else was trying to do it the legal way. Once you look at it that way - your view changes.

btw: Cracking down on illegal workers is another way the desperate feds are trying to improve the unemployment rate. 10,000 deport, we just created 10,000 new jobs for Americans! (insert smiling Obama making this announcement).

Folks...seriously. Are you all that completely unaware of this nation's massive demand for illegal labor?

Why do you think thousands of illegals come into this country each single day? So they can stand around and do nothing? It's because their friends and relatives had no trouble at all finding work. American business hires illegal labor by the tens of thousands every single day.

I once worked on a grounds crew for an athletic facility. We had a group of illegals that worked with us. I was technically their foreman, but I mainly just worked right along with them and answered their questions about America and the culture here. They were pretty funny guys.

They come here to suck up the welfare and medicaid systems.

Break it down for a min.

Say you work a shit job for 10 bucks an hour cash(and that's shooting very low)how can any body survive on that right??

Welfare leeches here in tx get about 1200 a month plus "wic" plus severely subsidized housing(think $200 for rent) and subsidized utilities.

Hmmm....1600 for 40 hrs work plus 1200?? thats $2800!!!!
thats fucking more than i make and i am a national and state board certified Pharmacy technician.

But I actually pay taxes and insurance for my wife and son.

and by the way I spent 3 hrs sick as a dog in the ER waiting for all the hispanics to fuck the system and us tax payers with medicaid.

Not one of those kids had much more than a sniffle

I'm a Mexican immigrant. People come because they know they can find work and send the money back home. The percentage that actually try to use a fake SSN and eventually qualify for SS payments is small and even in those cases that's not why they immigrated in the first place.

And regarding taxation and use of federal and community resources, the issue is considerably more complex than you imagine. See below

Unfortunately, we find that costs would increase even more. Costs would rise dramatically because illegals would be able to access many programs that are currently off limits to them.

As for the haves supporting the lazy havenots, I am definitely not a supporter. I'm politically conservative. If someone comes across the border to add value to the nation by working, fantastic. If eventually they become complacent and decide they want to stay home and watch television, go back to Chihuahua City and watch television.

It's hard for a right wing extremist such as myself to say this, but I don't see any benefit in firing or deporting working illegals. In the case of Chipotle, I'm sure they're paying all the employment taxes, and workmens' comp, etc... AND, I'm sure the illegals they hired, showed what appeared to be valid ID and papers. As you said, the quality will likely go down, if they hire Americans. It's just a different work ethic, sadly.

Bottom line is that whatever gets done (if anything, ever does), about illegal immigrants flooding into our country, I am leaning toward the idea of amnesty for those already here, and already working, and without any trouble or criminal records (here or in their home country). Shut off the flood gate first!!!!!

I have a few friends who are or were here illegally, and they're perfectly good people who couldn't get through the red tape. One got deported to Germany, and the other got refused a new work visa because she missed a date to file something. She got sent back to Belgium. The Mexican illegal immigrants I know, are all still here, and all still working.

I have no problem with people coming to this country to make a better life for themselves and their families.

My problem is the the severe abuse of the welfare and medicaid systems.

Back to the actual topic. I understand that some people take advantage of the system, but some are just busting their ass like the guy I used to work with.
There are plenty of people who are from this country who are just milking the the system and not contributing at all. Then the entrepreneurs are being over taxed for BS reasons and this takes away from their money to reinvest back into the system. These illegals that are busting their asses are helping the entrepreneurs in this country expand their business'. There needs to be a way to differentiate between illegals who are doing their best and ones that are just criminals/milking the system.

Ya, I know. Some jokes are just so recycled on this board it reminds me of parody threads. I occasionally do laugh at a parody thread, but they are geigh for the most part. It took about 6 months of seeing them and one day I laughed. Someone I am sure will make one out of this thread now.

As easy as you make it sound. Its not that easy, especially for Mexicans. I work with a lot of different ethnicities, and Ive heard a lot of stories. Certain cultures have an easier way of getting to the US. Its hard to say I wouldnt do the same if I couldnt provide for my kids and allow them a good education. Not saying its the right thing to do at all, I believe in the legal way. Just saying its harder than most people make it.
 
It should be made easier, because people like the guy I was working with worked full time and had his taxes taken out. He wasn't fucking over the system at all. He was contributing while we have plenty of gringos and blaques just milking the system. Eventually theyu caught onto his phony papers I guess. Dood was working there for a couple years!!!

Close enough, I dug deep holes. Early 20's, second job because I wanted to buy my first house. Lazy fucking kids these days can't even show up to their cake job on time, lol@them ever doing labor.

10/hour cash is probably comparable to $15/hour with taxes taken out. OMG how can anyone live on that???? That's a pretty respectable wage, which is about double the minimum wage. I'm not a supporter of illegals, but your outrage is ridiculous. I know I got by as a broke ass college student making less than that and I paid my own bills. Seems like you are crying cause your own broke ass can't provide. It's called living within your means.
 
The father of my kids is an immigrant from a third world country. It took more than a decade for the government to process his papers. His father worked here at a labor job and sent all he could home so his family could eat. He was 12 before he was allowed to come here and meet his father for the first time. And they were lucky, some of his cousins have had to wait close to 18 years.

And crossing the Mexican border is not easy. Some of these people travel for weeks by train just to get to the border. And I'm not talking a comfy ride. They must jump on to a moving train and hold on for dear life. Those unlucky enough to fall asleep after a few days are killed as they fall under the wheels. Others lose limbs. And after all that there is the possibility of dying in the desert or drowning while crossing the river. Let's not forget the human traffickers, paid by parents thinking their daughters will have a future in the U.S but in reality handing them over to rapists. And those are just some of the horror stories.
 
i hate the word chipotle...i don't like the way it looks...i hate hearing people say it...i hate to hear it pronounced incorrectly...i hate to hear it pronounced correctly...imho, it is currently the most overused word (and probably the most overused spice/condiment/what-have-you) in the cooking/cuisine vernacular...that is all.

I said how can anyone live on that because that's how a lot of people look at it.

Thats my point..it is a decent wage if its cash and you arent paying taxes....its a fuckin awesome wage if you also receive welfare and subsidized rent and utilities and free medical care.

Like I said..10/hr = $1600 a month + $1200(or more) from welfare =$2800 per month.

I'd love to work a low stress, little responsibility job and make $2800 a month and pay $200 in rent and have reduced utilities and free medical.

No wonder the mother fuckers drive fuckin Cadillac Escalades
