Your Max Bench, Dead, Squat ?

Oh, let's see....

Squat: 245
Bench: 175
Dead: 315

5'4", 125lbs

That's it, nothin' to sneeze at; and still workin' for higher PR's. ;)

MsBev, I hear that alot, and to an extent I agree with you. IMO, cheating is breaking the rules. When I compete, the rule is that I can use certain types of equipment, and so do. Actually the rules say I can use a double layer brief and a double layer suit at the same time to squat. My squat, however was done in a single ply suit. So I haven't taken full advantage of the rules yet, but as I progress, I probably will.

I do consider it cheating when reporting numbers though. That's why I specifically asked for clarification at the top of the thread. I benched a 270 in competition, but I'm not ballsy (or stupid) enough to think that I can do that raw. My raw bench is 70 pounds lower due to my bench shirt, a belt, and wrist wraps.

I will always admire the impressive numbers of a raw lifter...and I know some of my peers would argue with me on that. I swore that I would lift 1200 raw some day, and I didn't mean tomorrow, but I do think that would be nice. It's just something I need to prove to myself. I don't want to only be strong when my entire body is augmented with polyester, denim, spandex, chalk, leather, severe constriction......that's not me. That's just what I do for an even playing field at a comp. In the gym, I never use more than chalk and wrist wraps...occassionally my belt when going for a max PR.

Long story, short...I see your point, and for the most part you're preaching to the choir. :)

Looks like the deadlift benefits least from the special equipment. That normal?

I just have the belt and wrist wraps for that. I wear a squat suit, but it's 2 sizes too big and just functions like a singlet. A tight suit pulls me forward.

damn spatts, I bet a lot of people impressed by your numbers dont even realize that you are a woman, very impressive...

Myself, 5'9", 235lbs 12%bf
dead 550lbs x 5 reps, 625lbs x 1
squat 445lbs x 5, 525 x 1(ass to the floor)
bench 405lbs x 1
All those are raw, no belt, straps, etc...

I havent tried for a max 1rm yet, but by the calculator on the husker website, here is what they would be.

This is for the newbs that are scared of posting because of the huge numbers already put up.

6'3" 171.8 lbs (this morning before breakfast)

190 flat bench
210 box squat (just below parallel)
250 dead

Nothing added, just baggy sweat pants and a t-shirt, not even chalk.

Dont be afraid to post, even if a 5'4" 125 lb girl can lift more than you!:bawling:
