Your favorite hamburger place

For big chains, it's hard to beat In-N-Out Burger and Fatburger

I've had much better burgers at non-chain places though.

The latest standout burger I've had was at McKibbins Irish Pub in Montreal. Excellent half-pound bacon cheeseburger, cooked medium.

Speaking of chains, have you heard of Tommy's Burgers? Now that kicks butt!

White Castles!!!!1:heart:

white castle was the default choice in college for drunken nights. only 24 hour joint open..but it was in the ghetto(east orange, NJ) so it was always an adventure with crackheads coming up to the car.

delicious but always made for bad bathroom trips the next day. It was universal too, not just me

Houston's has really tasty burgers, and a consistently clean bathroom where i can go throw up afterwards

I had two great burgers while I was in NYC.

One was this place in the Village, the other was in this really nice modern hotel, and then you walked behind these massive curtains into this little place that was like someone's den.

Both were really a throw back to the 50s.

Cool. Can you recall what it was called?

Ha! In the Village there's "Pauls" a downtown dive near St Marks Place with big juicy burgers.

The fancy hotel is the Parker Meridian (57th street) and they have a little dive behind a curtain which looks as if it doesn't fit at all. They just call it The Burger Joint. A little small, (you're lucky to get a seat) and kinda pricy but some tasty ass burgers for sure. And it's a bit of a scene which is kinda cool.

Grays papaya changed their formula! The hot dogs just aren't the same. Others have noticed this too. But Papaya King is still great though they don't have the amazing specials Grays would have. (2 franks and a drink for $1.50!)

when I go to Cali I love In and Out, and Whataburger.

Here in the STL my favorite are Steak and Shake, Culvers, and White Castles ever now and then.

We had a place here called Charlie's that was great! I like Fat Burger and In and Out when I lived in Hollywood!

I make my own at home.

I use 90/10 cground chuck
Fat Free Cheese melted on the meat while on the grill
Whole Wheat Buns with no added sugar or preservatives
lettuce
pickle
onion
mustard

Not a bad meal in terms of nutrients!

Quick Burger (when in Europe) and McDonald's Two Cheeseburger Meal when at home.

local - Rockys (although I don't eat beef anymore so I don't go there :( )
chain - Fatburger (they have Turkey Burgers)

you do a sad face that you don't eat beef anymore, yet you don't eat it because of any medical reasons, or really even health reasons. You don't eat it because you think you're doing something good for the environment. Even if you were not eating beef for health reasons as well, there's probably no medical reason a healthy young guy like you couldn't enjoy beef once or twice a week (no medical conditions that the doc has told you you need to avoid beef for right?).

So, if you're sad about not eating beef, and there's no reason you can't eat beef...eat some goddamn beef!!!!!!!!!!!

You know Steak and Shake is finally making it down south. I usually always have it when I visit my parents up north, but I just discovered they are building one a mile from my house. I was so excited!!

My god that would be an epic cheatmeal, I'd need some organic ketchup and a fork, and I could probably get that all down, look at all that protien!!!!!!!! :qt: :chomp:

that would be more then a cheat meal. I don't know if anyone could finish that down but I'd try. I tried the 12X12 once. Lets just say I didn't want to eat for almost 2 days.

any place that Flames Broils or BBQ's

Hamberguers should NOT be pan fried or on a fried grill

If I am out west it's In and Out burgers.
Here I like Culvers (Butter burgers rule!)
If I am east of here Rally's/checkers (same place) Battered fries and a banana shake with the burger.

There is a local joint in Boulder called thunderbirds that has awesome burgers and chicken sandwiches. The 4x4 burger is great (Four patties and four pieces of cheese). The Teryaki chicken sandwich is great too, I once had them special make one with three chicken breasts on in. They used to have a pic up on the wall of me eating it.LOL

Dick's is the place where the cool hang out,

Posse to the burger stand so big we walk in twos,
