I kicked my ex out in Jan 01. Finally got the divorce in Jun 03. The Old Grump didn't sweep me off my feet until Oct 06.

My two best friends just got engaged in the past several weeks. LOL It will be marriage number 3 for both of them. But based on how I have come to know these ladies and their choice of future husband (their men literally worship them) I am thinkin that third time is the charm.

Me, I will never be a divorcee again... just widow. Whether he eats the fuckin mushrooms or I am forced to hit him over the head. :splat: I ain't goin through THAT divorce bullshit again. :lmao:

Oh.. cuz is doing great... still married, a friend and I went to visit not too long ago, Had a good time out on the town I even had an adventure on the bucking bull... LOL

I've been divorced for over 4 years. Nothing that completely just swept me away though. More me than anything, I just don't give in and when things get serious I pull back... just not sure ya know. I don't ever want divorce again.

I don't go out, don't do any bar scenes, I work and go home... the only other thing I do is visit the market and church. I am sure I'll find someone one day... And I'll prolly screw that up too because I am just too damn stubborn and stuck in my ways. LOL

He's out there somewhere, poor thing... LOL

I am not looking, more like running most of the time because I just don't think I'm ready. I screwed up what prolly could have been a good relationship... a time or three... Everyone wants to just rush rush rush... sheesh... I don't like that, I want to take my time when it may eventually include a divorce atty down the road. I want to know all the deep down dirty shit I can about that person :evil:

you too! 9 years here, ut we had a 10 year old and he was starting to wonder wtf? A lady said something to his mom that was unapprpriate for him to hear, but he did, and then here came the questions. So, BAM, we've been unhappily married for a year now... :-)

From what I've read on the board, it seems that many people felt pressured to get married or thought that they were just supposed to... and when things went bad (for any number of reasons), they turn to the antagonist viewpoint, not unlike a sort of teenage rebellion against the norms imposed by parents and society.

I personally grew up with totally normal, happily married parents: ideal household, no violence, yelling, or abuse, no extreme pressures to do this or that... so it always interests me to hear how others' experiences affect their personal views as well.

Oh whew... big bite to chew off here...

I didn't grow up with a normal family... however even though I was taking care of kids at a very young age... I still wanted a family at a young age. Marriage... blah... didn't want it. It took years before I got married. And even then, I didn't do it because I wanted to... not because everyone around me doing it or pressure. I did it for my kids.

I wish I had so much more time on this one... I'm bouncing back and forth with my bids and such...

In a nutshell, I married for reasons I don't think were wrong... they were proper. Still things didn't work out. I loved the man I married, had two beautiful kids with him, but it wasn't the paper that made me love him... That paper was only for the sake of the Gov't and the Church. For me, personally it meant nothing. With or without it, I was still the same person. Sad to say, that death did not do us part... not because I would want him gone, but because we could not live out our vows.
