Wrestling has gone downhill because it's become overly scripted; guys are pretty much told what to say instead of getting up there and cutting a promo of their own and letting their character and creativity come out. Best promo I heard in recent times was when Roddy Piper addressed John Cena about why he shouldn't hand the title match to Wade Barrett. It was old-school goodness...you could just tell Roddy came up with it himself, and it conveyed real emotion.
