But I don't think anyone can deny that when a woman shows violence towards a man, and when a man shows violence towards a woman, they often mean very, very different things. Abuse cases should be handled on an individual basis. If some guy grabs my ass in a bar, and I turn around and smack him, should I expect a slap in return? Hell no. If I punch some random guy in the face because I don't like his shirt, should I expect retaliation? Probably.
I also found it offensive because I see women getting shit on all the time. We often have no choice about what we can be. If we defend women, we're whiny feminazis. If we agree in the nicest way, then we're weak, and if we put little smilies up there, then we're cockteases. If we wear tight jeans, we're sluts, if we wear nice clothes, we're prudes, if we say something intelligent, we're uppity and if we don't like what you're saying about us, or worse yet, spurn your advances, we're bitches bitches bitches (for this one, see any of frackal's posts about women).
It's hard to go through life with all of these stereotypes on your back, and still feel like you can be yourself. So, yeah, I found the whole idea offensive. Waaaaa...I'm sick of the way women are acting, so can we please just start smacking them. I don't think you personally smack around chicks, and I think you're intelligent, and I'm sure you didn't mean it's time for a free day on women.
But once people start agreeing with shit like that on a place like here, then they start thinking about it, then they go out to a bar and grab my ass and smack me back when I smack them. Then I have to break their face. And nobody wants that to happen.
