what if you were laying in bed sleeping and you got punched in the eye while you were sleeping? That happend to me.. my ex hammered me while I was sleeping (circa 1998)... I feel like I have changed alot since then tho.

Did I hit her back?? NO
Would I hit a girl who blacked my eye while I was sleeping now?? YES.

I know you didn't, and I still don't think you would. That's besides the point. Like I said, these kind of situations can only be dealt with on a person to person basis. And if I were you, I wouldn't punch her OR ignore it. I would have stopped sleeping with her.

I think a man who physically abuses a woman is no man at all....but we seem to be forgetting there are some evil women in this world as well...who do evil things...I'm not saying they should be hit...but if a woman punches a man in the face, then she's asking to be punched back! It's too confusing when we say we want equal rights, but still want to be treated like delicate little flowers...it's true that men should be gentlemen, but when we're saying it's ok for us to hit men but not ok for them to hit back, that's a double standard. If you want to be treated like a lady, then be a lady...but if you act like trash you will be treated like trash.

This is how I feel as well. I become very disgusted when I think about how badly women have been abused by men in the past...(YES ladies, I detest evil behavior on both sides, just a bit more pissed at the women side for now.)

Wodin...usually i agree with much of what you say, but I really don't understand this kind of "logic". Women have killed, assaulted, etc. just as men have and deserve the same reaction. Are you seriously saying if you were with your wife and two kids and some bitch was threating to harm them you wouldn't knock her lights out??

I am not advocating hitting women (or men) for no reason, but if it is in defense of yourself or your loved ones no one in "immune" to being hit.

It's not that a man should never hit a woman, but that he needs to watch how hard he hits back if the situation called for him to hit back in order to defend himself. It all depends on the situation. Everyone has a right to defend themselves when physcially provoked. If a women insisted on beating up a man, he has a right to hit her back, should he choose to do so....I would think he was a pussy for not being able to contain himself and nobly walk away from the whole situation, but I wouldn't think he had no right to hit back.

I was referring to the calling women "bitches" for every little thing that makes you a wee little mad...so I looked up some things

You have no class if you call women "bitches". That is pimp-talk. Pimps are pieces of shit. It is a real sad commentary on our culture that "pimp" mannerisms are celebrated. Think about it: How would you like somebody calling your Mom, your sister, or your lady "bitch"?

Second:

Any man who feels the need to beat on a lady is a serious punk. Personally, when I see a guy slap a lady around, I slap him around and call him my "bitch". Who the fuck needs to resort to violence to handle a disagreement with a woman? Pathetic.

Third:

I know porno makes it look cool to treat women like garbage, but you need to think about the consequences of these attitudes. I don't want to live in a culture where women are reduced to sexual commodities.
