I think the thing is that we are in a rapidly changing society where women are learning to be more and more less socialized and more independent. Maybe this is not so prevalent now, but what about 5,10,20 years down the road, It MAY be, you never know.

People as a whole are realizing the effect of socialization and becoming more independant because they are realizing how they have been influenced and are rebelling against traditional roles. Women, especially.

I would just like to say that there ARE women who are aggressive and/or ruthless and would be willing to throw a punch. So whether this is an emmergin minority or just a constant minority is yet to be seen. But , if that girl gives me a shot, even though i would most likely not in real life, there is no reason why i shouldn't give her a shot back.

You argument only holds true to that of little children. I am talking about mature(?) women who have realized that they can do just as much as a man from a freedom of action standpoint.

Anyhoo, y'all should read Elizabeth Wurtzel's Bitch , it has some really interesting and strong views on the subject. It's a book. You can get it at any library or book store.

As to your question, actually it does mainly refer to children.

I would like to differentiate between the socialized woman(the child who is taught to act like so and so) and the one that has realized her full potential by realizing she is a product of that socialization(one REALLY smart kid, maybe, but most likely a young adult and older).

So you see what i mean? I ain't talking about your average Jill here...But like i said, maybe one day, you never know.
