Why me??? WHY NOW!!!????

Since the beginning of this year things have gone wrong for me. I started my bulking cycle in December and by the middle of January, I was up to 213lbs! And then I got food poisoning and dropped down to 200lbs! It is March and just until now, I got back to 213lbs.

Now of all shits in the world, I just got tendonitis of both the elbow and the shoulder! Tendonitis of the left elbow and tendonitis of the right shoulder. Guess I'm out of the gym for a few weeks again! And this sucks! I got a competition versus Satch this July and things keep fucking me over!

This reminds me of something that happened to me in my early 20's. I had this local guy called Pacheco that trains and sets up South Miami BB competitions train me. He wanted me to be the best new comer. This man trained me hard ED! And I was looking at my all time best! Competition day was in about 2 months and I fucked it all up! I ended up breaking my hand after punching some guy in the face at my gym. Nice huh?

Well, this sucks! Once again! On top of the fact that I can only be at the gym 2-4 times a week. Sleep only 4-5 hours a day. And train at the most for 30-45 minutes. Now I get this fucking tendonitis! And not to mention that I got court coming up for just about the whole fucking month of April!!!!

This is the only place i think that would have info, as i've never dealt with it. Found allot of gimmicks on the web but i don't know if they work. If you do stuff drastic like cortizone or some other form of it you can really mess it up. It would be good for a month or so but once it wore off if you worked it to much, you would be hurtin for a long time.

That sucks bro..I feel your pain..sort of. I have been training for my first show memerial day weekend and 2 weeks ago I got sick had the flu and a sever sinus infection...102 degree fever and I dropped seven pounds and couldn't do cardio or lift for over a week and 1/2. I just hit the gym yesterday and after 12 of 30 sets had to stop because I thought i was going to puke. squating 245 was tough and incline db press with 90's was killing me. I'm so pissed because so far I managed to be injury free yet this has killed my training and momentum. Hopefully we can both turn it around. Ask your doctor for a strong anti inflamatory and do the hot/cold combo when you are home and at work if you can. it helps alot.
 
LAKOTA roll on joint care....not sure if it is available in the states or not but I'll check for you...a week ago I couldn't curl at all due to tendonitis in both elbows/biceps.....after a week of using the LAKOTA, I curled as heavy as I could yesterday with no pain at all...stuff works great.....I will try and find a link for you carth.
 
Bro, things happen for a reason. Sometimes good sometimes bad. Keep your head up and don't get down on yourself. We all know how it feels to be taken off a discplined schedule due to things that are out of our control. Remember the strongest muscle in our body's is the mind. Stay positive and good things will happen. You've been knocked down but you only lose if you don't get back up. OK enough with all this corny shit, Get up dust yourself off and stop crying :worried:

Looks like you'll have to dominate in the legs and abs bro! But really, your best bet is to attack rest and rehab on the shoulders and elbows with the same focus you would apply to competition training b/c recovery and training around injuries is part of competing. Be patient and focus on what you can do. Stay positive bro, once you get into it you'll see the path will reveal itself. Good luck.
 
You know what they say about battle plans lasting only until the first engagement. You have to treat a workout program the same way. Any rememdies you find will accelerate healing but the only thng you can do is work around the injury and be more creative with the workouts.

Anti-inflamtories just help mask the pain, they really don't get to the source of the problem. If I were you I would look around and find a good physiotherapist. There are alof of shitty ones around, but if you can find one that has a more "hands-on" approach that's your ticket. By hands on I mean digging right the fuck in and work that shit over! I used to have achilles tendonitis and that is the ONLY thing that has helped me.

I feel your pain Bro, myself working and living in 2 hemispheres makes keeping a steady workout schedule impossible it seems im always trying to get a good workout in fighting jet lagg...
 
Glucosamine / chondroitin & MSM.

I've got recurring tendonitis from some evil repeat drop setting w/ a psycho trainer. I'm loading MSM right now.

Also check in w/ a physical therapist & possibly look into someone who does ART (active release technique).
 
I feel you pain my friend. I was on Peroxacam for seven months for my bicep tendon. I finally said screw it and stopped taking it. I don't like the effect of anti-inflamatories.
Best of luck... I wish I had a solution. There is Prolotherapy. Its expensive though!

Real good advice in this post carthix. Keep in mind you want to fix the problem, not just supress it

my homeboy on my baseball team has a mild case of tendonitis on his right elbow he uses some kind of icey hot sleeve over his elbow when he pitches and the pain goes away for that period.
 
I had it in my wrists and elbow for years.. it would get bad i would take off for a while.. come back and it would start up again... FINALLY
I MADE A TRIP TO THE CHIRPRACTOR... got my elbow and wrist adjusted..
after about the 3rd adjustment i was gone... any time i start to feel a little pain... a make an app. havent had much trouble since...
 
i had bad tendonitis in my left elbow
i could not even lift a large water bottle without pain i fel your pain bro
i used a tennis elbow brace ad believe it or not it help immensley
the brace basically pins the tendon down at a lower point on your arm so it takes stress off were it joins at the elbow
i also had greAT RESULTS USING ANAVR
i did a cycle of var over the summer at 4o mg a day for 12 weeks and i no longer need the elbow brace
i would also recommend heating and deep massages to the tendon once a day
i would recommend taking a slight brake getting and tennis elbo brace and trying a moderate dose of var
i got the strap at moddells nothing special just a velcro strap with a gel pad that keeps the tendon tight

So far all I've been doing today all day was just watching fucking TV. And thinking about how the month of April I'm going to be in court in front of a jury. And of course how I'm going to miss out on a lot of days of going to the gym. This shit is stressing me out.

Anyways, I've been overdosing on Glucosamine and Chondrotion today. Along with Advils. And I've been moving the elbow around very slowing. It's starting to feel better. But only to do normal day to day things. Not actually weight lift. I also applied Icy Hot, put a bandage on and then put on an elbow brace. Still hurts like a fucking bitch!!!!!

Looks like I'm going to be out of the gym from now all the way until the beginning of May!!!

Bro sounds like you just need to slow it down for awhile and give yourself a good rest before you blow a fuse with no more sleep than you have managed to get sounds like your Body is rebelling hang in there things will get better just try and relax some if possible

Overtraining? LOL Never! I only train 2-4 times a week for only 45 minutes at the most!

Lack of sleep? YES!!! I only get 4-5 hours of sleep a night. None of this is by decision. I have a business to run and family that needs me.

why.. is because YOU made the mistake of not controlling your anger and acting like a tuff guy... sounds alot like me in some ways. take controll of yourself and hopefully if what doesnt kill you in court will make you stronger in the long run... trust me bro... done lots of time in ny and dont imagine its nicer there in sunshine st florida! lol

I couldnt put it better, I had tendonitis and I started taking Glucosamine and MSM after 3 weeks and working around the injury on my elbow and both of my knees I was playing football at the time so running and bending down was a bitch but still after 3 weeks this stuff went away. Now I use this supplement as a must have like a multi, good luck bro!!

Get some, Glucosamine with MSM, apply DMSO daily.............and use vital therapy copper ( or any coper product that you can find)

Heres a list of all the fucked up shit that happened to me in the last year and a half that fuked up 2 of my competitions:
1. Got ran over (my back got ran over by a drunk slut in a x5) yeah that bitch tried to drive away and I threw a metal garbage can through her windshield
2. Passed out in gym, had to be taken to the hospital because of tren. Bad abcess and EXtrely low car diet.
3. got into a motorcycle accident broke a rib (the bike is gone, never again)
4. Tendonitis of the bicept TWICE so bad i couldent do back or bi's for 4 monthes.
5. Got stabbed in the leg
6. my mom through out juice and gh twice fucking up my cycle.

Even if you take time off from the gym, if u keep juicing i doubt u would lose much. I know this cause the past year Ive rarely been in the gym and im still 240lbs. without trying.
 
Dude go to the doctor and get some arthrotec 75mg! I started taking this and within 2 days all the inflamation in my knees were gone.
 
I just woke up and I feel better. I can move the arm now. But it still hurts a tiny baby bit. NOT like yesterday! Yesterday was total hell. Pain like no other and I just couldn't move the arm at all. I put on some joint cream made by Bayer at around 7pm and bandaged it. And I put on a elbow brace on it. The wife and I were at the store for about 30 minutes searching for one that would actually fit me. None of them wanted to fit on my huge arms! No lie!!! I finally got one...but this shit is fucking tight as hell! Its literally cutting off circulation. Let's see how I feel tomorrow. Might go to the gym just to do legs.

BTW...yeah. About CC. Shes Cute and all...but man! No ass! It looks like I'm looking at a dude with girl panties on bending over! LOL

Tendonitis sucks man. I had it in both my wrists for a long time. The best thing you can do is avoid the exercises that really aggravate it the most. Sorry to hear about the misfortunes. Unfortunately they happen. We learn from them. You were excited and eager about this contest with Satch when you signed on a few weeks back. You were eager to accept the challenge and make sure that no one took your place and that you would be the one to go against Satch. Now a few weeks later, I've read a few threads that seem like your not that confident with this competition against Satch. I don't know, to me it just seems like your trying to set us up beforehand letting us know to expect you to not do so well because of all the situations going on in your life. To me, I would rather see someone that is confident who goes about their training getting ready for this showdown and keeps postitive with a mindset that they will give it their all, not showing lack of confidence in their abilities. I'm not trying to bust, just feel like some of the things that you've said to us is like your expecting to lose. If that is the case, why not let some of the other guys step up to the plate that were hungry to go up against Satch. But I wish you the best, hang in there and keep your head up. Got to train hard with confidence and have a positive outlook here. Everyone has their issues, but it's important to keep your head up and aim to succeed and give it your best. Hang in there bro, things will work out.

About a third of the time he's handfed. He gets worried when he thinks the other dogs are near in case they want his food and then he rugs outs.

At rugs and statues, he's the best. I think he has it all worked out.

He does have one flaw: he snores. This is a bad thing for a rug to do. It ruins the illusion in a quiet room. He's working on the flaw but we hope he'll snore for a long time yet.

Heating the area is only going to make it worse. When you feel pain, you need to be icing it down. Tendonitis is actually an inflammation of the tendon right? You don't want to heat that up as it will just draw fluid to the area and thus delay healing.

While watching tv, ice that area for 15 mins or so. I mean, you are already just laying there.

Next is massage. if you prod around the area with your thumb, you eventually find THE point where it hurts the worse. Oh, you will know. You will be touchng areas that hurt and suddenly you will press a point that is *GASP* the one. That is the area you want to massage. YOu want to get some cross fiber massage and friction in there to help break up microfibrin and potentially forming scar tissue. You just press down on that area and very deeply and steadly rock your thumb back and forth, back and forth. It should look like you are barely moving your thumb. Not a big movement at all. Just deep and steady. It only takes 30 seconds each time. You can do this on the toilet. Sitting at redlights. In the shower. Whereever. As many times as you think of it, do it. Any extra times you have, do 30 seconds for the surrounding area too. Most of the time the majorly painful area is going to be closer to the bone rather than in the middle.

All I got on it right now is Icy Hot and a bandage. Its starting to feel better. I can now move the arm. But now to go weightlift! I do know where the POINT is that you are talking about. And it does hurt when I touch it. So your saying to press on that point with my finger and rub it in circles? Should I press hard or soft? Hard hurts though...but hey! I'll do whatever to get rid of this shit.

Unfortunately they happen. We learn from them. You were excited and eager about this contest with Satch when you signed on a few weeks back. You were eager to accept the challenge and make sure that no one took your place and that you would be the one to go against Satch. Now a few weeks later, I've read a few threads that seem like your not that confident with this competition against Satch. I don't know, to me it just seems like your trying to set us up beforehand letting us know to expect you to not do so well because of all the situations going on in your life. To me, I would rather see someone that is confident who goes about their training getting ready for this showdown and keeps postitive with a mindset that they will give it their all, not showing lack of confidence in their abilities. I'm not trying to bust, just feel like some of the things that you've said to us is like your expecting to lose. If that is the case, why not let some of the other guys step up to the plate that were hungry to go up against Satch. But I wish you the best, hang in there and keep your head up. Got to train hard with confidence and have a positive outlook here. Everyone has their issues, but it's important to keep your head up and aim to succeed and give it your best. Oh give me a break. Would you relax. So I'm going to be out of the gym for a couple of months. All of March because of the elbow and all of April because I got court. Big fucking deal. I'll be back at the gym in May. Competition is not until July 17. That leaves me with 2 1/2 months! That is more than enough time to show the true power of the Dark Side to all of you!

Yes. Press down on that area. Don't do circles. Just back and forth like you are trying to rub an imaginary itch on the backside of the muscle. Basically just wiggling your thumb in a straight line back and forth.

hey bro, go to your local doc and tell them about your pain and tell them it keeps you up in at night and tell them youve tried anti inflamatories and they didnt work. I did this and told the doc that a previous doc had me on on 10mg loratab one at night and told them that my previous doc had moved away and for the last few months id been trying to suffer through it but tired of the pain and she wrote me a script for thirty a month and it really helps me out dude. Im 230lbs and have been lifting for 13 yrs and this is the only thing that has ever helped so try it and good luck.
