Because rarely do conversations of bannings take a constructive angle. People love drama, and really seem to love dredging up more drama. Not only that, but we all work with or are friends with those who seem to love complaining more than actual action. I cannot tell you how many people I see IRL who bitch and moan all day long, but never actually do anything about it. Very similar to internet life.

If someone really disagrees with the banning (temp or perm) of someone, don't you think a well-thought-out, intellegent emai lto admin or a mod is a better way of "rectifying" the wrong?
