Why does my f-in arm go numb when I sleep?

Anyone else get a numb arm when they sleep?

It's driving me nuts lately.

I've looked into it before, but I'd like to hear other folk's opinions.

Both of mine do almost ever night. Yeh it drives me crazy too. It seems that it is better for me if I sleep with my arms at my sides, and worse if my arms are above my head. I hope it is not CT

I have the same problem. If my arms are over my head for over a minute they start to go numb. Im interested to see what everyone else has to say.

It's obviously because bloodflow is cut off. It only happens to me when I sleep on my stomach with my arms under me. It's all about the position you sleep. Only position I can think of that would be ok is on your back.

Happens to me too, especially when Im training real hard and putting on some size.

It is most likely due to thoracic outlet syndrome, an impingement of the brachial plexus that results in numbness and pain in the shoulder that usually radiates down the arm.

Usually caused by muscle imbalances & flexibility loss in the shoulder or shoulder girdle. You need a qualified assessment and soft tissue work, stretching and corrective exercise and program design to eliminate the imbalances I.E reduction of pressing movemts and lots of retraction and external rotation
