Why does codeine make me itchy?

Not that I know of. All painkillers make you itch (usually).
 
I never really took painkillers unless I needed them so I never noticed this. It's fuggin' annoying.
 
That's a side effect of opioids. They release histamines. I used to be a hydrocodone addict. I used to itch so bad that I would practically bathe in Gold Bond lotion. Then I would put Gold Bond powder on top of the lotion. I also used to take antihistamines with it.
 
Did you get the grape cough syrup?

They hand that shit out like candy now.

Makes my neck and face all itchy too. Try mixing it with vodka. That seems to help.

That's not usually an issue. Between the amount of food I eat and my shakes with psyllium husk, I'm good.

Atarax will lessen the itchyness and also upregulate opioid receptors so the codeine works more effectively. Atarax is an anti-histamine though, so it may make you even more drowsy than codeine alone.
 
jnevin, don't take a risk. That stuff could be tainted. Send everything you have left to me immediately for testing.

No those are impurities from the refining process.

No one in Germany has these symptoms.

How do you think there are so many addicts? The fucking factory workers steal that shit and put fucking Drano or whatever else they can find in.

I had a girl offer me pure oxycodone powder for like $6000/oz. I heard some people died of ODs the next day, straight up Pulp Fiction style.

OxyContin is a brand patented made from Purdue's Pharma lab, that pharmeceutical company process the synthetic akaloid salts themselves, they aren't ordering it from overseas from labs that cut it. You're thinking of cocaine or heroin

It's made separately in each main country! I'm saying the workers in the American factories (OK, chemical plants) are so poorly supervised that they get away with this shit. Think about it. The shit is worth more then it's weight in gold.

Do you know how much money has been stolen from the government by the people that work in currency making? Not much recently, but money's been printed for centuries. Oxycontin is what, a few decades old at most?

The few workers in the pharmaceutical labs that regulate the machines which process ANY type of FDA med are under very high security and watch bro. Especially drugs like morphine, oxy's, xany's, benzo's ect.... For some reason I highly doubt on a daily basis workers are cutting the mixture just so they can break themselves off some powder. Besides even if some crooked pharmeceutical lab rat wanted to pinch off some for himself, he wouldn't need to cut it the whole labs batch in the pill pressing machine, he could just take a handfull of raw oxycodone and bounce.

I am talking about people who take enough to visually make a difference in the pile (which is probably weighed to verify). I mean right after QC.

I see what you're saying bro, but even if by chance there are crooked workers in those high secured labs, they would be caught instantly and put in jail. FDA drugs are tested hourly, same with processed foods and beverages, there wouldn't be constant "impurities" in schedule 2 controlled substances

ive been on oxys for almost 2 years now but every month before i get a refill i make myself come off them for a few days. its either oxys or fuse my ankle and if they do that my doc said i would have no range of motion in my ankle and im too young for that. but the last thing i want is to be severely addicted to them. yea its tuff coming off but i force myself to do it so i dont become severely addicted.

Just went through a self help use of methadone to get off of roxycodone. Worked awesome for the first two weeks then it seemed when we ran out of methadone, we started getting withdrawals again. We have a few suboxone that we're gonna split up for the next few days to help but I'm hoping that the few we have will do what we need because if they don't, I guess I'll be making a trip to the doc for them which I really wanted to avoid

The bitch is the night sweats. My wife and I are up all night because we're literally soaked then freezing, then soaked, then freezing, etc

Methadone is stronger mg vs mg than oxys, heroin, percs etc.... that is why you are still getting withdrawls.
Methadone is the bomb though

First off, they don't take small amounts every day, they take more but spread far apart.

Secondly, I don't know exactly who is taking the shit. For all I know it's someone in the QC department, or someone who works for the FDA.
 
its a common side effect of all opiates or synthetic opiates

First off for generic drugs, the potency only has to be within 10% of the advertised amount. I don't know how big each "batch" of oxy is, but I imagine 10% would still be enough to kill a few addicts.

Secondly, the people who are doing this don't fucking care. They walk off the grounds at 5:05 pm on a Friday and think they have it made cos they have a few Oz (or whatever) of highly potent, high street price narcotics in their pocket. They don't even come back on Monday.

Heck for all I know, there's a whole organized heirarchy going on with people in the employ of the mafia, pharma techs getting paid off, FDA reps getting paid off...I mean Oxy is so fucking addictive, and the street price is ridiculous--like $10-20 a pill right?

You went to the doctor for a cough? :| What kind of cough was this then, just a cough and a bit of phlegm? I find a few tissues is enough for that, take a few paracetamol to take a fever down or some ibuprofen or something... Anyway just swallow a couple of antihistamines, don't worry about doseage they're over the counter and they're not gonna interact to your cough mixture :) Been addicted to about 15 different chemicals before I gave them up including morph/heroin, however codeine seems to make me itch more than any other opiate, I don't mind the itch personally, scratching is somehow satisfying hehe. Good luck man.
