Why did I watch the decapitation video?

Huck seriously - you are an intelligent dude but man is WAY more civilized than he ever was in the past....

shit like this was commonplace back in the day...

Perhaps I should have worded that differently.Although not to take away from the sickening images that have recently been fed out on both sides, the direction of my focus is more on the widespread(over various landmasses)volatility we are executing on one another. This current level of hatred, intolerance and overall inability to coexist peacefully seems to really be consuming this planet.I am sad for my kids to have to grow up in a world like this.

I get ya now... I guess sure we should be becoming more advanced and less war like... but the way I see it, it is human nature that is the problem... war has always existed.. and unfortunately I don't see any reason why it will not exist in the future...

my only problem with it is why we pull punches in dealing with these things in the interest of trying to look like the good guy, when it could be dealt with much more swiftly and with overwhelming force, hopefully saving many lives in the long run on both sides...

ie the bomb on hiroshima and nagasaki - not that I am advocating dropping any nuclear warheads over there - but I am sure there are many things we could do in terms of using our superior force that would effectively "take the wind out of their sails" once and for all...

oh you mean the "gargling" of the russian soldier? Yeah that was pretty intense.

I don't know. I'm afraid to think of how low morale must be on the frontlines. It's bad enough the commander-in-chief is being questioned, and no soldier can find any WMD. It tends to a lack of focus and clarity on what their role is.

I guess we'll find out when they come back. When we treat them like crap, throw them out in the real world to act like nothing's happened, and ignore them when they can't find jobs, have medical problems, have mental problems, have family problems and can't get the government to ever listen to a single world they say.
That gargling was the capper. That stuck with me for a while.

I don't get how all of you, and probably most people, are WANTING to watch this man die like this?

I'll have none of it.

I was affected like this when I saw that video of this guy who had his throat cut. It is supposedly some Russian soldier and you see him on the ground with a guy steppping on his head. The camera was right over him. It was pretty tough to watch. Especially if you have your speakers on.

Even though I saw that a few years ago, I can still picture it like I just watched it.

congradulations to all the sadists who watched this shit.

damn being decapitated sucks more than having a broom shoved up your ass, but not more than getting your balls and cock knarled off by a dog

I have not, and will not, watch the video, but I have one question -- how long does it take for them to cut someone's head off with a knife?

The video has the time displayed. According to the timer, approximately two minutes elapsed from the time they made the initial cut until they were holding up the head for the camera. I imagine he probably died somewhere around 60 seconds into it. Getting through the spine was probably the most time consuming part of it. Try to imagine a full minute of being fully aware that your neck is being sawed through. I can't. That's gotta be one of the most traumatic and horrific ways to die.

I can't decide if I want to watch it or not.

I would reccomend it... even though you may not have anything against them - I am sure the same (extremist) men would not hesitate to do the same to you in an instant.... They feel this way about ALL americans...

It is good to know what the enemy is capable of...

especially since everyone has an opinion on what should be done...

I watched the Daniel Pearl one but that didn't show his head being sawed off with him screaming while it was happening for 45 seconds or however long it took. It's not anything I want to see. Now the animalistic part of me wouldn't mind seeing that being done to someone who deserved but not an innocent man.
