Why did I watch the decapitation video?

I watched this video as well as the reporter and the russian soldier.

All three show the barbaric nature of the people committing these acts.

As for Nick Berg, this was in retalliation for the conduct of our soldiers towards Iraqi prisoners??

The distance between moral degredation and human decapitation is miles apart.

I know this is fucked up and I don't want to make light of it but why fuck would an American be in Iraq right he didn't have to be? ie Soilders, reports. And being there by yourself is even more crazy. The more I hear about the story it seems like he didn't really realize what he was getting himself into going there but of course he didn't deserved what happened to him.

I think it would be the sheer helplessness that would get to me. It would be different 5 on 1 with him on his feet and able to fight back, even if he still died, but laying there like a bound pig, with no chance of getting away and realizing right away he was going to die in the next minute or so...

i watched it last night before i went to bed.....that was a mistake....I just kept contmplating it.....no nightmares or anything, but it took me forever to fall asleep. it made me very angry.
