Why aren't girls funny?

I always talk about this with girls and friends, and it seems to be the consensus that girls just arent funny.
 
many women have stank breath. although this doesn't discourage them from prattling hours on end, it does inhibit laughter. because laughing expels the breath at a very rapid rate, allowing others to sample the stankedness of their breath. but Rita Rudner is funny. and not Paula Poundstone.
 
Some of them are. I know a lot more funny dudes than girls though. This is an interesting question.
 
its probably because we have to go through our lives making people laugh, and girls just have to be pretty ;)

i was the class clown in high school...
also a tomboy - i didn't get a handle on the "being pretty" part til much later

I agree on Sarah Silverman. Some of those women on the Comedy Central Roasts can be pretty funny. The key is being able the ditch the girliness and go all out.

This lady, er, bitch is a great example of a funny vagina owner.

see, I don't find her funny at all. humor is humor - when you need to call yourself a "bitch" or put on that fake 14yo playing-fairy-tale-land facade it's just lame. don't lean on some cheesy fantasy "girl power" crap to get an audience - just be funny.

oh, and sarah silverman is OVERRATED. it doesn't hurt that there are close to ZERO even remotely fuckable female comics, so by comparison she is a goddess. but man, she is hairier than me and you know the "silverman" comes out behind closed doors. bleh.

seriously. . .my wife and i watch last comic standing from time-to-time and at least a half dozen times my wife has looked over at me during the show and said. . ."you know what? women just aren't funny." straight outta da horses mouth. :whatever:

My GF is funny and quick as hell, That's one of the reasons I was attracted to her(besides the fact that she's gorgeous).

She's about the only person that can keep up with me and my sarcasm and sense of humor. She busts my balls(in a good way) everyday.

I was wondering when someone was going to point this out. To be considered a funny female comedian isnt exactly a bold statement.
