Why are there no canadian teams in the NFL?

And personally, american football is boring...

my Russian gf described football as such "they just run around and fall on each other"..needless to say I didn't try to expalin the intricacies of the game..and baseball?forget it..on another note and Englishman described football as a "series of brawls punctuated by commitee meetings"..thought that was kinda funny/clever
