Why 2 depletion workouts?

Hey whats up guys?

I read over Mr.X's CKD plan and he has two full body workouts on day 6 and 7. Do you guys think this is this really neccesary to deplete glycogen stores?
Would 1 depletion workout be better?
 
from what I understand about CKD, there should be two weight sessions simply to lower glycogen stores to a level that is optimal for fat burning but won't exhuast you, then just before the carb-up you should almost fully deplete muscle stores ready for the carbs!
