True but . . .

If that were the case than the world would be a perfect place now wouldn't it. Just look at this board for example, if words were not taken so literally here than there would be no cat fights, point - counter point discussions, post about who is on ignore list, post regarding race and politics, members wanting to get other members banned, etc. . . .

The point is words are taken literally wether you are conscious about it or not by every single one of us each and every day. Words are but one small part in the communication process. The words you choose make a big difference in the reaction returned by another.
