Who here has had a gf have an abortion?

I actually think we should be thankful to have the ability to abort children. No lie. It really keeps a lot of fucked up people out of this world that could potentially hurt it. It doesnt help us as society to have kids who arent raised properly or have problems during development.

I think that if you have one abortion, that is fine. Learn your lesson though. We dont want abortions to be a crutch for our stupidity. be responsible and pull out before cumming.

There are no atheists in foxholes.

this is probably incorrect. it's a familiar quote/notion and you'll find various sites outlining an atheist viewpoint which address this quote directly. they'll say that, in fact, there have been atheists in foxholes. and even if there never were any, it couldn't be taken as evidence or proof of anything, save human nature.

jnevbro, i know it's hard, but let it be. i guarantee you will not find satisfaction arguing such things with lestat.

as for this thread, we know the road down which this shit's gonna go. it can hardly fail to do so. i wish we had dudes like imnotduch or ABL or baoh still around to offer their perspectives. juicedpigdick, peace. as a practical matter, i can't see a better way than to forgive yourself and reflect on what that decision did to define you as a person. choices tend to do that. live and maybe even learn (so hard...i suck at it, so this isn't a sermon).

but in any case, i'm not one for forgetting anything.

My wife and I have had two in our 10 years together.

Both were very early when we were both still in college. My wife is bi-polar so she is always on her meds, and she has been told multiple times that in order to have a baby she needs to be off her meds for the entire duration of the pregnancy. At that point in our lives our relationship was so unstable, we were very immature overall, and not ready for children in any way, shape or form.

Its not a decision I am proud of, however it is not one that I regret either. We made the best choices for both us and our potential children at the time. We both want to be the best parents we can be when it comes time. There were a lot of factors involved in the decision both times.

We are actually talking about having our first child next year, and now I cant wait to be a father and she cant wait to have a baby. I've never been more ready :Chef:

You putting down peoples' beliefs is the same thing as people putting different races down. I don't defend the "logic" behind religions, but you to religion and people that belive the way they want to is the EXACT same thing as Kakdiesel and the way he views blacks. You're no better.
That is where we disagree.

While I think its wrong to discriminate against people based on race, something NOT in their control, I do think it is ok to discriminate, even ridicule people because of their beliefs. Imagine if someone believed they could cure cancer, and somehow convinced people of it, so much so that they stopped medical treatment, paid this guy whatever money they had, and did yoga and chanting as he prescribed. I would not respect that believe and I would ridicule him to no end. I do the same for someone who is willing to put a sever damper on the most promising medical research in years, because they believe a collection of 150 cells constitutes a soul and sacred life.

my brother age 36 got a girl prego he wanted to marry her. she said he trapped her or was trying to trap her by having his child.
They been on and off for 3 years .I watched him grab her and throw her across the room by her hair it was the most awful thing I had ever scene I did not talk to him for months on end .He called me up one day crying and said she left him and killed his baby.

I talked with her and her exact words were about like this " fuck him and his god like ego treats me like shit then expects me to stick around 18 yrs with him to raise a kid yea I had a abortion .He is so used to getting his way this is the one thing he could not control and it eats him up "

They are both nuts drink smoke and do drugs the baby would have been a mental head case if not deformed it think it was the right choice no way a child would have been happy growing up in that relationship .

1 chick I had a one nighter with in 1995 had one...I still remember driving her to clinic and afterwards carrying her up the stairs to her apartment...

I sometimes wonder what it would be like to have a 10 year-old child now, but I think at the time it was the right decision to make.

I wouldn't consider it now with my wife.

I agree, and every single Pro Lifer should have to adopt one kid

My g/f had one in 2002, the abortion was best decision WE could have EVER made, period.

I was and always will be PRO CHOICE, it isnt my job to push my beliefs on someone else, we are all free to choose, from start to finish.

adoption is pretty simple compared to spending 5 years and thousands of dollars (at least $50,000) out of your own pocket to finally get in vitro twins :whatever:
