wife had the full paid aprtment in italy all my pay was tax free and you only get jump pay if you jump once every three months so that stoped after being there for 3 months.
no bah because me wife had the paid apartment.living on the base I was getting 265 for food but when you are in the field the pull that because you are eating in the field so they say you dont need it.......hazard pay Hazard pay means additional pay for performing hazardous duty or work involving physical hardship. Work duty that causes extreme physical discomfort and distress which is not adequately alleviated by protective devices is deemed to impose a physical hardship.
is don by district depending on were you are.all of iraqe is aproved for hazerd pay but not all of others places like this

its a real fucked up sistom and you dont always get your money.

A shitty situation that happened to some of us in the PA guard was that we were first declared as funded by the state as a state activation, which we were not. So we got BAH type I for a few weeks. After they switched it to federal type II we then got all the extras as in combat pay, seperation, et cetera. So I guess if your unit is behind the ball like ours was, even though we are supposed to be an elite Styker Brigade, you might just get F#$d over for awhile till they straighten shit out. I was in the sandbox last go round. It sucked then, and I'm sure it sucks now. Combat pay isn't worth it. I was getting haz duty pay and combat pay but at the time they'd only let you collect on a couple of the "special" pays at a time. I'm damn glad I got out. What's a trip is I could be retired. Well, from that anyway. There wouldn't have been enough pay so I'd be doing something anyway. Thanks to those of you who are serving now, or have in the past. It's what gives us the freedoms we have.
