I love my parents dog...She is a super sweet, extremely smart yellow lab. But she was raised very well and with endless love and fantastic discipline.

She did, however, sneak upstairs to the cats room one time when she was at my house. when I wasnt looking she ate like 5 lbs of cat food and spent the entire next day vomiting and scaring herself by farting so loud. poor girl.

I do not like cats, never have after one bit me as a kid (still have scars from it). I will tolerate them in other people's houses because I really believe to each their own. I also don't think any animal should be intentionally mistreated. For some reason the damn things seem to like me though.

On the other hand I think dogs are far preferable to being around people. As long as you raise them right, treat them right, and inforce discipline they are the best companion you'll ever have. Also the bigger the better with dogs so you can really roughouse with them.

I'll take a dog 9 times out of 10 over a cat but cats do have advantages. They are quiet, they can take care of themselves more so than dogs and more apts accept them. I never really saw the point of cats until we got one. God created cats so men could learn to understand women. You will understand women when you can figure out a cat...NEVER!

I've given up on either one.

Just need to get a bigger place and some dogs.

In 10 years my cat has never done any of this.
you do have to groom the buggers alot if you dont want cat hair all over.

Having said that, I'm a true dog hater.
dogs stink, they lick your face, then are supremem high maintenance require multiple walks a day, you can't fuck off on a long weekend without them. people bring them in their cars all the time only to make for a digusting dirty vehicle full of dog stink and dog hair.....kill them all in a acid bath.

i have 2 cats and 2 dogs. (actually, i have 3 cats, but one is in the barn/garage)
they all have their advantages/disadvantages. neither one are cleaner or smarter.
The cats are obviously quieter, and mine are super affectionate and silly.

i have to find it, but i have a picture of me someplace where I fell asleep on my couch and both cats and one dog laid down on top of me, while the other dog just rested her head across me.
