Who binged on Christmas?

I did having a reprieve from the cutting diet. Christmas is divided between both parts of my family over 2 days, so I decided than on one of those days, that since had been so long since I touched junk food, that I thought, alright lets see how much I can eat/

I think dinner was 11 slices of pizza, 200 grams of nuts. 3,500 calories in one sitting. 200 grams of fat, about 5 times my average during the cutting phase. Probably consumed 5000 cals over the day, as I had just modest other meals.

Strangely, the pizza - the first in 6 months - didn't taste that good. I almost ate it out of humour, reliving and old self that had died a year ago, who would have probably had a junk food binge once per week (normally only while drunk though).

The cashews though - that's a different issue. Completely delicious. I'm cutting now and realise cashews could turn into a real weakness, so they're banned from the house. God cashews taste good - much better than PB! I'm almost glad cashews aren't as healthy as other nuts; hence, I can't rationalise their inclusion into my normal food shopping.

I was expecting to look completely bloated this morning from the salt, but that hasn't happened. Look normal in fact. Only side effect was having to take a mega dump in the toilet this morning. Suprisingly, also I was as hungry as normal this morning, and decided that I would just pretend the binge didn't happen and ate a normal breakfast.

Who else binged?
 
I have only been dieting for about 3 months, but it's been a long 3 months! I didn't do too much damage....lasagna, cookies (several), chicken wings, macaroni salad, diet sodas, coffee with cream/splenda, and some miscellaneous sweets. I felt pretty damn good pigging out. Funny thing is, tomorrow is "leg day", so hopefully all this carbing up will give me a killer boost tomorrow...and undo any damage done.

The fatty food/crap carbs did wonders in the gym today. Maybe pizza and cashews are wonder bulk foods!

I have been depressed that my bench has decreased a bit lately. I wasn't sure if it was the cutting and muscle loss, or the fact (more likely) that I had been doing HIIT at max resistance too often on the elliptical because none of my other lifts had suffered, so I thought it was unlikely that I would lose muscle in just one area.

Well today I did a personal best on he bench - 125kg, currently weighing 68. I know this is nothing special, but given training for 10 months with weights, and only using creatine/protein powder as supps, I'm optimisitic that once the cutting is over, I will be benching double my body weight soon (under 3 months I hope).

My other goals for the 2008 are to deadlift triple my bodyweight (would need to improve by 40kg) and do a one arm chin (currently can do normal chins with 50 kg attached).

Perhaps when bulking I will need to add the occasional pizza and cashews to max strength gains!!

Yeah i planned it ,LOL.. i ate some crappy foods over a 4 day period....1 shitty meal aday because kids/wife were all off from school/ work..Pizza one dinner/out to eat another/cold cut sanwiches another/ and ofcourse christmas today...turkey.stuffinf,mashed,sweet potato.gravy..Shit another thanksgiving...LOL OH cookies !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
I ate like shit for 3 days...yesterday I ate from noon until about 8 at night. This mornings run was rough, my ankles felt fat and swollen it was kinda redicilous. Im glad its over!
 
Ate quite a bit of chicken and turkey but it worked out well. Didn't binge at all... just overate strategically.
 
About the non Bloating from the Salt...
Did you consume alot of water with the pizza and nuts?
I read an article (cant remember were) saying that when havin lots of water with sodium, the water actually washes the salt straight out and would be as if it was never there.

Since I am in a constant bulking phase (Until I hit 100-110kg's- 0nly 5-10 kgs left!) ovcoasres I unleased on Christmas. About 5 BBQ chooks on our table with plenty of potatos... OH yeah

I must have eaten more sweets in the past week than I have all year...
some one needs to make a pill called WILL POWER, so I can OD on it.

nah I got a link from someone on this board about water washing out salt article. That was a few months ago now.
