it;s actually pretty well understood that slavery as an economic means of productivity is not efficient and ignores innovation.

Slave states being less productive fits this model...the only answer was "get more slaves" as opposed to "improve the process".

I understand the south's output was mainly limted to agriculture, and the north was industrial. plus the main cities of the north were more densly populated. but comparing output is like comparing apples to oranges IMO.

The only problem with "get more slaves is that by 1850 slavery was illegal everywhere in Europe and even the UK.

Slaves were so expensive to buy and maintain that they were actually costing more than they produced.

The civil war is one of the biggest lies in American History. Lincoln actualy allowed four of the states to keep slaves until he issued the emacinaption proclamation and EVEN entertained the idea of allowing slavery to continue to keep the Union together.


The worst part of all of it is thet seccession is allowed in the declaration of independence... even back then ourr government was trashing what the founding fathers had laid down to create a better country.

Blacks would ahve been much better off if slavery were left to die of its own devices. All the civil war did was create a hundred years of resentment toward ths north and toward blacks.

Within ten to twenty years slavery would have been abolished peacefully and blacks would have had a much easier time integrating into the new culrute and their new found freedom. But the civil war forced them into something they werent ready for.

Many of them lived MUCH worse off than theydid as slaves. Starved, died od fisease and malnutrition.

Thanks to our modern revisionist you will never know some of the truths of the 19th century. But Lincoln was not a hero. He was a murderer and didnt have the forsight to see the hoorrible damage he did to the South and all its people (Blacks and Whites) for the next century.


By the was... the output of the south was estimated at 155 million dolars in 1861 and the North was 1.7 billion...

The North had 22 million people and the South had 9 million including the 3 million slaves.

The high school I went to was over 90% white so I know EXACTLY what this article is talking about. I lived....so will she. Besides, she can probably go 5 miles down the road and be back in the majority so her "situation" is easily escapeable.

No, they didn't. We probably would have been laughed out of town for asking for one. I wouldn't have joined anyway. With the exception of a few isolated situations I had no problem with the way I was treated and high school was a good experience for me.

Apparently yours does too. Other than her being called "white girl" which is hardly traumatic as it probably is an accurate description of her, does the article say anything about her being abused, mistreated, beaten, heckled or anything else? I didn't think so.

No.. because the majority of people who live in ghettos are black and Im sure he feels more at home when surrounded by people of his own ethnicity.

Im pretty sure he said he went to a high school that was mostly white which would lead me to believe that he is From an area which is mostly white.

I dont know of too many ghettos that are mostly white... maybe some trailer parks but not ghettos.

and I could care less about her getting bent out of shape over being called a "white girl", it isnt about that.

The whole point of the article for those of you that never bought "hooked on phonics" is that white people should be able to identify with their own race and culture with minorities coming down on them and condemning them as racists.

We should have the same freedoms to identify and show pride with our race as blacks or mexicans or whatever without being labeled KKK members.


Of course you have the epitomy of white guilt "Nature Boy" and our great black hope "Dial Tone" already convincing us she is some mislead white girl who doesnt realize how good she has it with all her "privelege points" and she should just go hang with the white crowd.
