Whiner: "But if I train like a powerlifter I'll be fat and have a thick waist"

Non-Moron: "It's all in the diet and genetics - since you can't do anything about genetics you need only concern yourself with diet"

Whiner: "I don't believe you, leg extensions and concentration curls are the key to a well developed physique. I know I'm a stupid whiny bitch but I'd need to see pictures."

Check out these pics of Dave Gulledge's total transformation. Not what I'd call a thick waste or blocky physique. Lot's of info on Dave on the net.

Did he lose any strength in his lifts in the process of going buffy? I know a lot of people here like the BB look and it certainly can be more startling but, given the choice, I'd take his starting composition in the top photo. That said, it makes your point remarkably well.

Looking good, BFold. Your BF looks fairly low.

I was following his journal on another board. It goes to show you that you are what you eat. Powerlifters who eat entire pizzas, a dozen doughnuts a shot, drink excessive beer, and pop twinkies look like shit from their diets, not their training. Guys like Dave, who pay attention to nutrition, reap the benefits and have a superhuman physique to match their super human strength.
Would you mind posting a link to that journal?

I'd assume his lifts are significantly down. 50lbs + of bodyweight goes a long way even if a significant portion is fat.

I prefer to be strong than looking great anyday. Funny thing is, I look very good anyhow. Everything I do is for strength. As you boys said, no excuse for not watching your diet.

I've seen him in person a few times and he is impressive looking as heck....even bigger with more fat. Super nice guy too... His strength is out of this world...amazed me.

Not sure what my BF% is...but it isn't low because I'm trying to do so. I think that it is just the Mediterranean diet that I mostly eat. Been in the US now for a week and the food is killing my stomach...

He has a very impressive physique. His shoulders look like bowling balls in the 4th pic when he was carbing back up.
