Where do you report a doctor?

My mother went to see a doctor today because she noticed a growth inside her nose! He told her she has a polyp and needs to see a specialist ASAP!
In the meantime...the doctor gave her a madication containing Codeine --which she is allergic to. Upon telling the doctor of her allergy, he told her to "just take it and if you have a reaction, go to the Emergency."

HELLO??? Is there something wrong with this picture? She has an allergy--like she cannot breathe when she takes Codiene...we've seen this before! Not very fun!

I'm not a doctor, but when someone is allergic to something it is usually best to not perscribe this to them, no? I have been reading on these polyps tonight and there are other things she can be taking...I am raging right now...

I would say some local/state/provincial agency.

I'm sure there is a medical board to handle this. She should make sure that she saves any script, or papers that he gave her.
