Well, my stepdaughter's Asperger's wasn't diagnosed until about 2 years ago. She was born in 1988, the reports describing Asperger's didn't hit this country until the early 1990s and it didn't really go mainstream until nearly ten years after that. It's unfortunate, she had a miserable time in school and I think that would have made things a lot easier for her, or at least she would have been educated/trained/received more appropriate therapy if she'd been properly diagnosed and better understood.Although I can't remember where I read it, I did read that there are a few lawyers in prison for perjury and fraud, after they conjured up the autism-vaccine link in a fake study. A team of doctors proved that their method of testing the theory was fraudulent and wrong. There is no link, but once something like that gets worked up into a public panic, it takes forever to go away. And just FYI, I do have high-functioning autism. I have found in life, that trying to find someone or something to blame all of my problems on, is a waste of time, and it would have prevented me from becoming successful otherwise.
As for the original topic: I never saw a Tetanus shot with other vaccines included... Must be new. I haven't had a Tetanus shot in at least 20 years, so I better watch out for rusty nails!

As for the vaccine/autism thing. You can't blame parents for being so eager to want something to blame, and it's programmed into the human brain to seek cause/effect. Saying something that can be so ephemeral, at times, as autism was "caused" by an outside source gives them something to be angry at. However, it's causing problems.
I do think they give an awful lot of vaccines awfully young. If I were to have a child now I'd request the alternative vaccination schedule and avoid taking the baby out into crowds. Now if you have a new baby and other kids in the house ... I dunno, kids (especially the 10 and under age group) are grimy little germ factories by nature. I'd probably get the baby vaccinated on the normal schedule.
I'm not ANTI-vaccine. I'm ANTI-the shit they put into them, sometimes cheaper preservatives, sometimes other shit, that gets willy-nilly introduced into our bodies whether we need it or not.
