I grew up in the Sacramento area. Lots of farms up there. I like how rice fields look when they are irrigated. I think farmers whine a lot. They want those government subsidies.. but at the same time will pay their workers a dollar an hour to break their backs bent over picking up strawberries all day. Meanwhile they have a nice farmhouse, family, and farm animals in case they get horny.
I value farmers a lot, they produce a lot of our food, and they make food for our animals.. which I eat a lot of.
They also raise all those chickens, cattle, and even fish that I eat all the time. Raising fish on a farm is lame though. I think they should just fish them out of the ocean. But be carefule for the dolphins. I wonder if fish suffer as they are hauled into the boat and die in the freezer?
