What lengths do you go to to save on gas? (if any?)

He also duct taped an air dam on the front bumper of his camry. (I wont drive or be seen in his car now because it looks ridiculous)

And has he calculated exactly how much fuel the appendage has saved?

you save a lot of money that way!

do you walk everywhere and/or use public transportation?

Yes, it is quite easy where I live. My main gym is a 15 min walk, I live about 2 min from the train station, and where I work is another 15-20 min walk.

My little high street/main street has nearly everything I need on it (it's a wee community).

I have two bicycles, but when I started training to compete, one old school BBer told me walking is the best cardio, so I do encorporate it into my life as much as possible.

When I start riding my bike a lot, walking just seems too SLOW.

i dont recall his exact calculations mostly because i wasnt paying attention. but he did say even after one tank of gas, it was a sizeable difference

If it is an airdam, wouldn't that create more downforce (drag)? Thus, decrease fuel mileage?

Unless what you mean is that he taped the front grill closed?

perhaps your new possible job comes with a huge pay raise that allows for red light idle? LOL
yeah the job in question if i decide to go that route is likely an increase of about 25k per year. pretty sizeable raise for me.

lol i dont turn off my engine at red lights. i find that excessive.

no it actually doesnt decrease fuel mileage
and yes he has covered the grill with some clear plexiglass stuff too (im telling you his car look fucking ridiculous, im embarrassed to have it sitting in my driveway at this point)

divorce him, its the "in thing"

None. I fill up twice a month and I get to put one of those on the company credit card. I can live with paying $55 a month.
