I am red fan my self. I am not snotty about price of wines either that isn't what determins a good wine IMO. One of my favorite brands is Santa Carolina from Chile it's very inexpensive I love there Shiraz also make a nice Merlot.

I like a nice Pinot Noir but I have yet to find one that is my favorite. Anyone have any suggestions? I had some excelent ones when I was at a wine bar in Santa Cruz but I didn't get the names like a dumb ass.

bully hill makes all sorts of fun wines...

Bully Hill Wines

...i've had quite a few of them...and the winery is on keuka lake, which probably isn't that far from you, so you could actually make a trip there to check the place out...it's a beautiful area...do yourself a favor and stay the night...one of my uncles has a cottage there...been there quite a few times.

I don't drink wine; The sulfites make my nose get stuffy.

But my father knows his wines, and he's a big fan of some of the shiraz coming from Australia. Some good ones from the McLaren Vale region from a taste-for-price perspective.

Aussie Shiraz is great big but it can get a little pricey.

There are many better wineries in the Finger Lakes but Bully Hill have the best labels and great marketing.

I like staying in Watkins Glen and driving up the eastern side of Senecca Lake. Great wineries there.

I also like South American shiraz. If you like spicey wines like that, many california zinfandels are similar.

I like Pinots from Oregon and Washington made in the Burgundy style. They go great with steak.

Yeah we got special F U taxes in Canada for booze yellow tail in the US is pretty inexpensive. I know when I was in FL my mom bought a lot of yellow tail I ended up with a headache the next day from it so not a big fan.

the finger lakes are littered with wineries and a lot of them make excellent wine...bully hill is just one of the few that is readily available in most places that sell beer/wine/liquor...and the wines from the finger lakes taste different than any other new york wines because the depth (keuka, for example, is 190 feet deep) and volume of each lake creates a mini climate system for a mile or two around the lake, where the temperature and humidity and a couple of other key factors are significantly different than the rest of the area.

yeah...we took the kids to niagra falls for an overnight last spring and i hit a liqour store for a bottle of jim beam for a bedtime cocktail...talk about sticker-shock...i should have taken a jar of vaseline in with me to make the purchase a little less painful :lmao:

that must be part of your socialized medical system...there's no need for rehab in canada...no normal person could possibly afford to be an alcoholic!!!
