What is a good excuse for a plastic surgeon for GYNO surgery?

That's cool. Definitely keep us updated. I'm curious to how much the insurance is going to pay on the gyno surgery. Tell me how much that would have been out of pocket and then how much they actually pick up. Also, if you go through with it, let us know how long it puts you out of commission.

all I know now is that if they do cover it, i have to pay 10% co pay which will be 500$- or there about :) .

but I will def. keep you posted, but remember, i'm getting lipo done so I might be out more than the usual.

Yeah, I don't think I would go for the lypo myself, I am just looking at the gyno part. I don't have the extra cash for the lypo.

i'm still waiting for the reply from my doctor / ins. I spoke with the doc and ins, and ins is saying that most likely they will cover it but they have to get a claim before they can say for sure. My doctor's assistant said that because I am feeling pain, that they can make the case for the surgery and most likely it will be covered. But, I can make a date for the surgery, but I have to take a loan out for about 2500$ for the lipo, but if the answer comes back neg from the ins. company, then i will be screwed cuz i can only take 1 loan out at a time..so that's why I haven't posted yet. Believe me, as soon as I hear news, good or bad, I will post it. but just to remind you, that i have blue cross blue shield federal (the more expensive plan) - so if you have a different ins. - they might not cover it.. :( if mine does.

I just switched to United, but my employer offers BCBS as an option too. If you are worried about the loan, you should just take it out to cover the whole cost, just in case. You can always give back what you don't need. Just as a CYA.

dont admit the steroid use to plastic surgeon. remember he WANTS to do your surgery and has a better chance of you hiring him if your insurance pays for it.

he will submit to your insurer for board to review. if the ins co decides it is medically necessary, vs. cosmetic, they will approve payment for surgery.

Yeah, who know's. You might wake up from the surgery and look like Glenn over there. I know I wouldn't mind that, haha. Glenn, what do you use to cut?
