A few years back some corn farmers out a few miles east of my town got busted growing marjiuana. I can't remember how many plants exactly their were, but it was acres and acres of it.

Once the sherrifs departments confiscated it all it was in their evidence room until the court case was finished. Then they put it all in this big incenerator and destroyed it all.

You should see the show Cocaine Cowboys how CIA basically built the city of Miami with Columbians and flooded the city with Cocaine, millions of dollars were used to build skyscrapers, monuments, parks, basically economy skyrocketed, and when drug trade decreased so did economy, I mean car dealerships sank as well as jewelry stores, all private businesses felt burden....
I guess the drugs were being used to help the Contras in Nicuragua overthrow the Sandinasta Communist regime, that was really doing well during the Reagan administration...

I partake in a cause and effect class, for intern training for MDs and drug specialists. They get all the crack, coke, heroin, meth, benzos, and lsd from drug busts made by the cops.

in many cases they are destroyed, but sometimes not and who knows what happens.

They're put in a special area - and that dept's CSI or whatever chemicals and drug dept comes and takes it. Usually to test it for criminal trials. After testing - they store it away as evidence, then when no longer needed - destroyed.

These people are older people with degrees, decades of expeirnece, training, etc. PD's put more trust in them to hold onto drugs than average testosterone fueled military brat cops.
