What do you think of this letter to a restuarant?

Well thought out letter, anyone reading it can tell you know fine dining and expect to be treated as such.

I think it is the right thing to do, i dont have a problem spending money on good food but I expect to be happy with my experience.

So, did you and Wootoom end up keeping the dessert plans at a local frozen yogurt shop down the street (being the health conscious dieters that you are).

Dude, as a (online) friend, I got sick of the story. The manager would not care even more.

and Why did'nt you ask the waitress what happened?

You seem to finish the appetizers, meal AND dessert fast. LOL you guys WERE hungry.

I went for a shitty meal recently at an expensive place, i called for the manager and said i was displeased and would pay for the drinks, but not the food, so th shitty meal cost me the equivalent of $10, you are best off raising the issue there and then, be clear and firm, not aggresive or trying to make a joke of it.

I am writing to you regarding my experience at your restaurant on June 11th, 2005. My girlfriend and myself had planned a Saturday night stay in Laguna Beach that weekend and were looking forward to some good food, good shopping, and time at the beach. We are from San Diego, and a friend had originally recommended that we try Bandera in Newport beach, as it is one of the Houston's chain of restaurants and is supposedly very good. The day before we were to leave, however, some family friends from Orange County gave us your restaurant as a recommendation. We checked some other reviews online, and although a few commented that the food was pricey, they all said the food was excellent and atmosphere unique.
.

Send it anyway - you have nothing to lose. Stop being stupid people, a problem is a problem and notification is necessary.

My exgf's mom sent a letter to a place and got a bunch of gift certificates.

Do it.

Yeah this place lives off its rep, they will send something I am sure.

Agree with everyone here....you did have alot of positive to say about the restaurant also...the manager may focus on that and conclude that you're expecting TOO much...

Might make it a little less nice...and just focus on what they did wrong.

Just MHO.....

I hate confrontation and being an asshole, I don't play that role well.

I just wanted to get out of there, I was so annoyed..

the server was rude, basically said "please try us again its not always like this"

so its basically.. hey its $100 bucks and sucks, but next time will be better? WTF?

It's out of the servers control if the kitchen can't get the food out. For that matter it's the managers job to make sure seating is spread out so the kitchen doesn't crash. If it happens all the time the server will try to aviod you because their tired of being abused by asshole customers.Simple as that.
