What do you tell/suggest to help a girl with major Anorexia problems?

she tells me how she doesn't sleep for 3 days a time
This is a very difficult thing to do.
It all depends on where she is right now.
And I'm sure that as she is dealing with both anorexia and severe drug problem, she is in a pretty bad place.
I always had a strange reaction when people showed concern.
If they said I looked sick, I was happy because sick equaled thin.
If they said I was going to die I was happy because near death equaled thin.
It isn't like she doesn't realize the physical consequences of what she is doing.
But she might not realize how out of control she is right now.
Whatever you say probably wont be effective if you dont really want to associate with her anymore.
Saying that you're concerned and then just dropping out of her life wont do much besides alleviate your own guilt.
You could have an honest conversation with her and tell her that her friends and her drug use and her anorexia are really limiting her potential.
People in her position need people who care who will express concern and who will be there for her as she tries to recover.
I don't know if this helps, but these are my thoughts on eating disorders...
One thing that really fucks with me now is how much time I wasted.
It kind of sucks when you look back and realize that you spent an entire decade self destructing.
You spend an insane amount of time obsessing and weighing and measuring and pinching and poking and staring at visible bone and imagined fat.
She's only 20 so she probably doesnt equate drugs and anorexia with wasted time.
But some day she'll realize that she wasted her youth hating herself.
It all depends on where she is right now.

I wouldn't even bother to try and help (other than making yourself available of course if it were an actual female friend), even psychiatrists struggle to "control / cure" it.
Well, then you obviously arent concerned with helping her if you cant stage an intervention..You can call a counseling service or a drug advocacy group through a church.
