hey guyz, i was going to cut some more trying crums diet but i decided against it and i might do it in like 2 months or so to shed just a little more, but right now im going to do a mainteance diet. and im wondering what you guys do as far as cardio, i was going to do 4 days of am cardio, 2 days 20 min intense running on treadmill and 2 days 45 min low intense like walking on treadmill, this wont casue me to be losing ne muscle since im doing it first thing in the morning before ne meals will it? since i have sufficient diet 15 X bw in cals will i be fine with that cardio plan?

also i was wondering about carb up, do u guys do any carb up at all when maintiaing or cycling of carbs. im thinking its not necessary as i wont need to replenish leptin levels since im not cutting, also i wont really need it for lookin full as i dont think i will have a prob with that as im gonna do 40/40/20 pro/carb/fat and also ala twice a day, 500 mg each time for the first time trying this. so do u guys follow ne carb up or no.

Well I'm inadvertantly doing a maintenance phase presently. I'm supposed to be bulking, I'm eating at least 500 cals over maintenance (I track diet pretty closely), I'm doing NO cardio whatsoever, I'm working out heavy just 3 x a week for less than 1 hour; and with all this my weight is maintaining!!!

When I purposely maintain I will add weekly cardio (literally once a week), as I feel this is plenty for cardiovascular health. I also tend to lose muscle easily so 3-4 x per week would kill me! I've heard it said, "If you want to look like a runner - run, if you want to look like a weight lifter - lift!" I realize that's a gross oversimplification but you get the picture, and everyone's different.

I personally don't do a true carb up when bulking or maintaining for the reasons you mention, but I do have a free day once a week and a free dinner mid week. The only time I manipulate carbs is post-work out.
