A Strength Athlete? (YES for me)

A Strongman?

A Powerlifter?

A Bodybuilder?

I'll start. I am strength athlete bc I am an athlete before anything else. I can play any sport efficiently and on a very high level. I do not want to single myself out and be one particular thing. I want to be excellent at everything. Strength Training is perfect for me in that respect. :)

I didn't want a poll bc I want to see what you are and why you are. What's the make up? Thanx in advance

I thought you use to be a professional fighter or something. What kind of professional athlete were you? When you say you can play any sport at a high level, I sure doubt this. Most sports require much more than just strength and speed. Won't help you at all in golf, bowling, etc, etc, etc, You have said, You can't believe that I would compare myself to you, because you are an elite athlete in the top 1%. What type of elite athlete are you? I wasn't comparing myself to you in that regard( your chosen sport) as I recall, it was on a strenght level that I was comparing myself with you and I am stronger than you last I checked and pound for pound way stronger.:)

I am a powerbuilder.

hehe I got that from the "Iron Bull". That guy was strong as hell, curling those 150lb dumbells and emphasizing using the whole body in a movement for power. I like that theory. When your in a fight, its not like you need "strict" form, youd be wise to throw your entire body into those strikes. JMO

I agree. Well it depends how you use you body. If you swing to much on someone that knows what they are doing you will leave you body wide open. But in a general sense you should definately use you body, it just depends how much?

thats true. Im just against the theory that a person can "isolate" a muscle completely. Some people seem to believe that strict form will do just that. As if the auxillary muscles werent involved. I like to use alot of Auxillary haha Id rather swing up a 205lb barbell curl then try and isolate it using only the bicep.

Oh. In this sense I completely agree with you. I am not even completely sure what I was arguing before. I have spent the past 4 days studying my ass off and i have gone kind of crazy.

haha I respect that. I do not have the patience, nor do I have the will to develop the patience to study anything, aside from lifting. Im already messed up enough without that!! haha :D

Trying hard to be a strongman. My gym training is mostly a mix of powerlifting and some olympic lifting, but everything I do in the gym is done to help with the strongman events.
